RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY 0F TUSTIN, CALLING GENERAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION FOR APRIL 13, 1948, CONSOLIDATING
VOTING PRECINCTS, AND DESIGNATING ELECTION
OFFICERS FOR SAID ELECTION.
The City Council of the City of Tustin,
as follows:

WHEREAS, the laws of the State of Califor. nia relating to the
Municipalities of the Sixth Class provide for .the holding of a
General hlection in said Cigy on the second Tu~esday in Al~ril of every
even-numbered Year, and further provide that the City Oouncil may,
for the l~rpose of sald election, consolidate and designate voting
precincts and drsignate eledtion officer~ for said election, and
tht$ being such an even-numbered year,
BE IT RESOLVED: That~ a regular General Municipal Election be
held in the ~ity of Tu~tln, Cal:tforb~a, on Tuesday the 13th day of
April, 194g, for the p~rpose of electing such officers as are re-
quired by law to be ~ected, to wit:
each;
Three (3) City Councilmen for the full te~m of four (~) years
One (1) City ~Xerk for the full term of four (~) years.
That there shall be one co~8olidated election and voting pre--
cinc~ for the purpose of holding said .~lection, consisting of a
consolidation 'of the vtw~' regular election precincts in said City
established f~r ~ld'~ng ~tate and County Elections, to-wit:
Tustin Number I and Tust:i.n Number 2 preclnct~, which said con~olid, ated
precincts shall be known as "Tustin ~.recinct", and the boundary lines
of ~aid consolidated precinct shall be gh~ preeeng existing
· . boundary lines of the City of Tustin, Orange County, California.
That ~ach election be held in accordance with the general
election laws of the State of California, insofar as the same ~hall
have been made applicable to municipalltie~ of the Sixth Clas~.
' That the polling place of said "Tustin Precinct, comprising
! State and County Election Precincts Tustin Number 1 and Tustln

"~"~' Number 2 shall be at the City Hall of the City of Tustin at 135 East
-. Main Street, in said City, and the said polls shall be open between
the hours of 7:00 o'clock A.N. and ?:00 o'clock P.M. 'of ~a:l.d. day.
That the following persons, residents and qualified electors
in the said City of Tustin are hereby designated and appointed to
act a~ the election officer~ at ~aid election, to-wit:
Inspector: Grover C. Retl
Judge :: D. ~. Adam s
Judge:
Benj. H. Wollenberg
Clerk:
Dolly Hol ford
Clerk:
Grace Leinberger
and the salaries of said election officers for the purpose of said
election are here~y fixed as follows:
Inspector: $6.00 per 'day
Judges:
$6.O0 per day, each
Clerks:
$6.00 per day, each
That three (3) officers to be filled for City Councilmen are
for the full term of four ([~) years, and the three (3) candidates
receiving the highest number of votes therefor shall be decle_red
elected for the full term of four .(~) years each, and in the event
of a tie, said matt er shall be decide~ by ~t.
That one (1) office to be filled for City C~erk shall be for the
full term of four ~) years, and the one (1) candidate receiving the
highest number of~ votes for said full terms .shall be declared elected
for the full term of four (~) years, and in the event of a tie said
matter shall be decided by lot.
That the C~ty Clerk of the City of Tustin is hereby directed
and required to give Notice of said Election as required by law, by
the publication of 'Notice of Election containing a statement of the
time of the ~lection, ~he offices to be filled thereat, and specifying
the term thereof, and a general description of the voting precinct
and the location of the polling place, not earlier than the
sixtieth (6Oth) day nor later than the thirty-first (31st) day before
such election, by publication in a newspaper of general circulation,
to wit, .the Tustin News, published and circulated in s~id City of
Tustin, and that Notice shall be published at least once in said
newspaper.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Tustin,
California, this 19th day of January, 1948.

The City Council of the City of Tustin, California,
does resolve as follows:
tir'HEREAS, the laws of the State of California relating
to the I•iunici~alities of the Sixth Class provide for the holding
of a General Election in said City on the second Tuesday in April
of every even-numbered year, and further provide that the City
Council may, for the purpose of said election, consolidate and
designate voting precincts and designate election officers for
said election, and this being such an even-numbered year,
BE IT RESOLVED: That a regular General iunicinal
Election be held in the Cit;~T of Tustin, California, on Tuesday,
the 1Cth day of April, 1948, for ttie ~urrose of electing such
officers as are required by law to be elected, to-wit:
Three (3) City Councilmen for the full ter~~ of
four (4 } ye~_rs each;
One (1) City Clerk for the lull term of four (4)
years.
TiZat there shall be one consolidated election and vot-
ing breeinct for the ~ur~ose of holding said election, consist-
ing of a consolidation of the two regular election precincts in
said City established for holding State a.nd County Elections,
to-grit: Tustin Iumber 1 and Tustin =:umber 2 precincts, ~•:hich
said consolidated precincts shall be knotrn a.s "Tustin Precinct",
and the boundar,~lines of said conso lidated precinct sr all be
the present existing coundary lines of the City of Tustin, Oran~.e
County, California.
That such election be held in aecord~.nce i:ith the
general election latrs of the State of Calif orniu, insofar as the

same shall have been made applicable to municipalities of the
Sixth Class.
That the polling glace of said "lustin Precinct,"
comprising State and County ~:=lection Precincts lustin Number 1

lustin at 135 East Hain Street, in said City, and the said rolls

candidates receiving the highest number of votes therefor shall

and in the event of a tie, said matter shall be decided by lot.
That one (1) office to be filled for City Clerk shall
be for the full term of four (4) years, and the one (1) candi-
date receiving the i~:iv~hest number of votes for said full ter.-ns
shall be declared elected for the full term of four (4) years,
and in the event of a tie said .matter shall be decided by lot.

That the City ::lerk of the City of Tustin is hereby
directed and rec:uired to give Notice of said Election as re-
a,uired uy law, by the publication of :once of Election con-
taining a statement of the ti:~~e of the election, file off ices to
be filled thereat, and specifying the tern: thereof, and a general
description of the voting precinct and the location of the roll-
ing place, not earlier than the sixtieth (60th) da.y nor later
than the thirty-first (31st) day before such election, by uub-
lication in a newspaper of general circulation, to-V,~it, the
TUSTIN NEWS, ~ubliehed and circulated in said City of Tustin,
and that said .otice shall be ~ublisr_ed at least once in said
neirsnaner .
