HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 154RESOLUTION NO. 154 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING STREETS OF MAJOR IMPORTANCE OTHER THAN STATE HIGHWAYS WITHIN THE CITY OF TUSTIN FOR THE PURPOSE OF ALLOCATION THERETO, AND EXPENDITURE THERON, OF THE NET PRO- CEEDS OF ONE-QUARTER CENT PER GALLON TAX ON MOTOR VECHICLE FUEL PURSUANT TO SEC- TIONS 194 .AND 195 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, under the terms and provisions of Sections 194 and 195 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, it is incumbent upon the City Council of the City of Tustin, to re- quest the Department of Public Works, Division of Highways, of the State of California, to determine and designate streets of major importance, other than State Highways, for the purpose of alloca- tion thereto and expenditure theron of the one-quarter cent per gallon tax on motor vehicle fuel to be paid to the City of Tustin, for use upon streets of major importance other than State Highways within the City of Tustin, under the provisions of said Sections 194 and 195 of the Streets and Highways Code of California. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Tustin do hereby request the Department of Public Works, Division of Highways, of the State of California, to determine, select and designate, as a street of major importance, other than State Highways within the City of Tustin, upon which may be used part of the net proceeds of one quarter cent per gallon gas tax on motor vehicle fuel to be paid to the City of Tustin under the provisions of Sections 194 and 195 of the Streets and Highways code of the State of California, the following designated street as shown upon the Official Street Map of' the City of Tustin adopted February l7, 1936, to-wi t: Pacific Street from the Southerly limits of First Street to the Northerly limits of Main Street, being 0.23 mil~s in lend. th ~ THIS RESOLUTION shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS ___day of October, 1944. I, Chas. E.
