HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 99 RESOLUTION NO. 99 RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS TO REPORT OF STREET SUPERINTENDENT ON WEED CLEANING AND THE EXPENSES THEROF, APPROVING REPORT, AND ORDERING A COPY THEREOF FILED WITH THE CITY ASSESSOR AND CITY TAX COLLECTOR. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tustin did on the lst day of April, 1940, pass Resulution No. 95, determining, and declaring that weeds which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature and attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry, and which are noxious and dangerous, were growing upon the streets, sidewalks and private property of the said City of Tustin, described in the itemized report submitted herewith, and are apublic nuisance; and WHEREAS, on the 20th day of May, 1940, the said City Counc- il further passed Resolution No. 98 ordering the Street Sup- erintendent of the said City of Tustin to abate such public nuisance; and WHEREAS, in pursuance to the above numbered resolution the Street Superintendent of the said Oity of Tustin did abate such nuisance and kept an itemized account and report of the costs and expenses thereof; and WHEREAS, said Street Superintendent has given notice as required by law, in which notice July 1st, 1940, at the hour of eight o'clock P. M., was fixed as the time, and the Council Chamber of the City Hall of the Oity of Tustin as the place, where any and all persons interested in the said report might be heard; and , WHEREAS, at the time set the Street. Superintendent submitted the said report, a true copy of which is hereto attached, and all of said protests or objections to the said report having been heard, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Tustin, that all of the said protests or actions to the said report of the work done, and the costs and expenses thereof be, and the same are hereby overruled, and the report affirmed; that said costs and expenses be assessed against the property described in said report in accordance with said report, and said Street Superintendent is hereby directed to file a copy '233' of said report with the Assessor and Tax Collector of the City of Tustin, and to file the original thereof with the City Clerk of the City of Tustin. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly passed by the City Council of the City of Tustin, at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the 1st day of July, 1940, by the following vote: AYES:..
