RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, ORANGE
COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
On motion of Councilman Wilson, seconded by
Councilman Kiser and carried, the following Reso-
lution was adopted:
WHEREAS, Andrew Cox, a resident of the City of
Tustin, residing at the corner of the intersection
of Second and D Streets, (Highway lO1) in said City
of Tustin stating that trucks have been habitually
parking, during all hours of the night, along said
D Street (Highway 101) adjacent to the intersection
of said D Street and Second Street in said City, and leaving
their motors running unattended for various lengths of time,
resulting in fumes drifting into sleeping rooms of residences
in the immediate vicinity, and also resulting in unusual noises
both preventing comfortable enjoyment of said residents and
amounting to a nuisance;
AND, WHEREAS, said D. Street, (Highway lO1), is a primary
State Highway, and the City Council of the City of Tustin does
not desire to take any action which might be in conflict with
any of the State Rules and Regulations governing said State
Highway;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED,
by the City Council of the City of Tustin, in regular session
duly assembled, that the State Highway Department, and the California
Highway Patrol Office be informed and advised of said complaint
made, and be requested to investigate said complaint, and to
either take such rededial action in regard thereto, or advise
the City Council of the City of Tustin as to appropriate
rededial action.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, for the purpose
of so advising of said State Highway Department and said California
Highway Patrol Office, a copy of this Resolution be immediately
forwarded to them, in care of the California Highway Patrol
Office, Attention, Captain H. C. Meehan, In Charge, Santa Ana,
California.

On motion of Councilman ~#ee~s~, seconded by Oouncilman
/;sg , and carried; the following Resolution was adopted:
WHEREAS, Andrew Coa, a resident of the City of Tustin,
residing at the corner of the intersection of Second and D Streets,
(Highway 101) in said City of Tustin, has presented a complaint to
the City Council of the City of Tustin stating that trucks have
been habitually parking, during all hours of the night, along said
D Street (Highway 101) adjacent to the intersection of said D
Street and Second Street in said City, and leaving their motors
running unattended for various lenghts of time, resulting in
fumes drifting into sleeping rooms of residences in the immediate
vicinity, and also resulting in unusual noises; both preventing
comfortable enjoyment of said residents and amounting to a nuisance
AND, WHEREAS, in connection with said complaint as one
possible partial remedy it was suggested that the curbs be painted
red and parking restricted for a distance of at least twenty-five
feet back from said intersection along said D Street (Highway 101);
AND, WHEREAS, said D Street, (Highway 101), is a primary
State Highway, and the City Council of the City of Tustin does
not desire to take any a,c tion which might be in conflict with any
of the State Rules and Regulations governing said State Highway;
NOW, ~iEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED, by the City
Council of the City of Tustin, in regular session duly assembled,
that the State Highway Department, and the California Highway
Patrol Office, be informed and advised of said complaint made, and

be requested to investigate said complaint, and to either take
such remedial action in regard thereto, or advise the City Council
of the City of Tustin as to appropriate remedial action. j
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, for the purpose of so
advising of said State Highway Department and Said California
Highway Patrol Office, a copy of this Resolution be immediately
forwarded to them, in case of the California Highway Patrol Office,
Attention, Captain H. C. ~deehan, In Charge, Banta Ana, California.
