CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TUSTIN CITY CODE SECTIONS 5340e,
3 5330e AND SECTION 5311 RELATIVE TO THE STORAGE OF VEHI-
CLES ON PUBLIC ROADWAYS

The City Council of the City of Tustin, California, does
5 hereby ordain as follows:
6 The City Council hereby finds and determines as follows:

WHEREAS, the City has encountered difficulty relative to the
8 parking and storage of vehicles, including recreational vehicles
and other large vehicles and vehicle accessories on the public
9 roadways; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council has ordered that the Tustin City
Code Section be amended to further regulate the parking and storing
11 of vehicles, including recreation vehicle, special purpose farm
machinery, boats, trailers, detached vehicles, and other similar
12 vehicles, within the City so as to facilitate enforcement of the
City Code and to protect the health and safety of the community.

Section 1: Subsection e is hereby added to Section 5340 of
14 the Tustin City Code to read as follows:
15 "e. Storage of Recreation Vehicles and Similar
Vehicle s.

No person shall use any public street, highway,
17 thoroughfare, or alley in any part of the City to
park, store, or cause to be parked or stored, any
18 recreation vehicle, special purpose farm
machinery, boats, trailers, detached vehicles, and
19 other similar vehicles. Store, for the purpose of
this subsection, is defined as parking or leaving
20 unattended any vehicle. specified herein in one
location for a period in excess of 'fo~ty. ei~ht
21 ~4:8~ consecutive hours. The term 'one location'
shall include any relocation of such vehicle
22 within a one-half mile radius of any prior parking
location used within the preceding fo~/~_~'gh~
23 (,48}-- hour period."
24 fh~_G~: Subsection e of Section 5330 of the Tustin City
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

"e. Use of Streets for Storage of Vehicles is
26 Prohibited.
27 No person who owns or has possession, custody or
control of any vehicle shall park, store or cause
28 to be parked or stored any vehicle upon any street
1 or alley for more than a consecutive period of
seventy-two (72) hours. The provisions of this
2 subsection do not apply to the storage of recrea-
tion vehicles, special purpose farm machinery,
3 boats, trailers, detached vehicles, or other
similar vehicles, which vehicles are governed by
4 Section 5340e. 'Store', for the purpose of this
subsection, is defined as the parking or leaving
5 unattended any vehicle in one location for a
period in excess of seventy-two (72) consecutive
6 hours. The term 'one location' shall include any
relocation of such vehicle within a one-half mile
7 radius of any prior parking location used within
the preceding seventy-two (72) hour period."

Section 3: Section 5311 of the Tustin City Code is amended
9 to add the following definition, integrated in alphabetical order,
to read as follows:

"'Recreation Vehicle' shall mean all recreation
11 vehicles, as defined by Health and Safety Code
Section 18010."

13 City of Tustin, California, held this 19th day of May
