HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 71RESOLUTION NO. 71 RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS OR OBJECT- IONS TO REPORT OF STREET SUPERINTENDENT ON WEED CLEANING AND THE EXPENSES THEREOF, APPROVING REPORT, AND ORDERING A COPY THEREOF FILED WITH THE CITY ASSESSOR AND CITY TAX COLLECTOR. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tustin did on the 3rd day of Nay, 1937, pass Resoltuion No. 66, determining and decla, ring that weeds which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature and attain such a large growth as to 'become a fire menace when dry, and which are noxious and dan- gerous, were growing "upon the streets, sidewalks and private property of the said City o£ Tus~in, described in the item- ized report submitted herewith, and are a public nuisance; and ~nereas, on the 17th day of ~ay, 1937, the said City Council further passed Resolution No. 6~ ordering the Street Superintendent of the said City of Tust.~.n to abate such public nui sanc e; And Whereas, in pursuance to the above numbered resolutions the Street Superintendent of the said City of Tustin did abate such nuisance and kept an itemized account and report of the costs and expenses thereof; and Whereas, said Street Superintendent has -~'iven notice as required by law, in which notice July 19th, 1937, at the hour of eight o'clock P. N., was fixed as the time, a~.'~d the Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of Tustin as the place, where any and all persons interested in the said report might be heard.$, and Whereas, at the time set the Street · Superintendent submitted the said meport; and all o£ said protests or objections to the said report having been heard; ~ '~ rED by the City Council of the IT I S HER.-~BY RESOL , City of Tustin, that all of the said protests or objections to the said report of the work done, and the costs and expenses thereof, be, and the same are hereby overruled, and .. 169 the report affirmed; that said costs and expenses be asses- seal against the property described in".aaid re.]oort in accor- dance with said report, and said Street Superintendent is hereby directed to file a copy of said report with the gssessor and Tax Collector of the City of Tustin, and to file the original thereof with the City Clerk of the City of Tustin. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly passed by the City Council of the City of Tustin, at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the 19th day of July, 1937, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen: .Hu_ntley,_ LoEan...,...Pie?er, .
