HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 61 RESOLUTION NO. 61 RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS OR OBJECT- IONS TO REPORT OF STREET SUPERINTENDENT ON WEED CLEANING AND THE EXPENSES THEREOF, APPROVING REPORT, AND ORDERING A COPY THEREOF FILED WITH THE CITY ASSESSOR AND CITY TAX COLLECTOR. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tustin did on the 4th day of day, 1936, pass Resolution No. 59, determining and declaring that weeds which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature and attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace whsn dry, and which are noxious and dangerous, were growing upon the streets, sidewalks and private property of the said City of Tustin, described in the itemized report submitted herewith, and are a public muisance; amd Whereas, on the 18th day of May, 1936, the said City Council further passed Resolution No. 60 ordering the Street Superintendent of the said City of Tustin to abate such public nuisance; And Whereas, in pursuance to the above numbered resolu- tions the Street Superintendent of the said City of Tustin did abate such nuisance and kept an itemized account and report of the costs and expenses thereof; and whereas, said Street Superintend-- ent has given notice as required by law, in which notice June 15th 1936, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., was fixed as the time, and the Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of Tustin as the place, where any and all persons interested in the aaid report might be heard; and Whereas, at the time set the Street Superintendent submitted the said report; and all of said pro- tests or objections to the said report having been heard; IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Tustin, that all of the said protests or objections to the said report of the work done, and the costs and expenses thereof, be, and the same are heretty overruled, and the report affirmed; that said costs and expenses by assessed against the property des- cribed in said report in accordance with said report, and said Street Superintendent is hereby directed to file a copy of said report with the Assessor and Tax Collector of the City of Tustin, and to file the original thereof with the City Clerk of the City of Tustin. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly passed by the City Council of the City of Tustin, at a regular meeting of aaid City Council held on the 15th day of June, 1936, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen:_ LoEan...
