RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING
THE RESULTS OF THE ELECTION
·
WHEREAS~ a Eeneral municipal election ~as held and con-
ducted in the City of Tustin, on Tuesday, the 14th day of April,
1936, as required by law,
AND WHEREAS, it appears that notice of said election was
duly and legally given, that voting precincts were properly
established, that election officers were appointed and election
supplies furnished, and that in all respects said election was
held and conducted, and the votes cast thereat received and can-
vasses, and the returns thereof made and declared in time, form
and manner as re~lred by the general laws of t he State govern-
ing elections in cities of the sixth class.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council of said Cit~ of Tustin met
at the City Council Chamber of the City of Tustin, on ~onday,
the 20th day of April, 1936, to canvass the returns of said
election, and install the newly elected officers, as a result of
which the said City Council finds that the number of votes cast,
the names of the persons voted for, and other matters required
by law, to be as hereinafter stated, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED as follows:

That said general municipal election was held and conducted
in the City of Tustin, on Tuesday, the lSth day of April, 1936,
in time, form and manner as required by law;
That there was one voting precinct established for the
·
purpose of holding sa. id election, consis.~.ing of a consolidation
of the regular election precincts established for holding gen-
eral state and 'county elections as follows:
Consolidated Voting Precinct "A", comprising State and
County precincts Numbers Tustin City No. l, and Tustin Gity No.2.
That the whole number of votes cast in said election was 35.
That the names of the persons voted for, the offices-for
which they were voted, the number of votes given in each
precinct to each person, to'gether with the whole number of votes
which they received in the entire City Election are as follows:

That W.M. Huntley and John F. Pieper received the highest
votes for~e two positions to be filled on the City Oouncil,
for. the full term of four years, and that they should be, and
..
are hereby declared elected to the City Council of the City of
Tustin for the'full term of four years.
T.hat J.R. Hat-bout received the highest number of votes
cast for the 'offic'e of City Clerk, and therefore should be, and
is hereby' declared elected .'to the office of City Clerk for the
full term of four -years.
That Walter J. Pollard received the highest number of votes
cast for the office of City Treasurer, and therefore should be,
and is hereby declared elected to the office of City Treasurer
for the full term of four. years.
RESOLVED, therefore, that at said General Municipal Elec-
tion, W.M. Huntley was elected to the office of City Council-
man of the City of ?-ustin for the full term of four years;
ALSO, that John F. Pieper was elected to the office of
City Councilman of the City of Tustin for the full term of fomr
years;
ALSO, that J. R. Harbour was elected to the office of
City Clerk of the City of Tustin for the full term of four years;
ALSO, THAT Walter ~. Pollard was elected to the office of
City .Treasurer of the City of Tustin for the full term of four
THIS RESOLUTION TO TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY.
Passed, approved and adopted this 20th day of April, 1936.
