RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN CALLING GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
FOR APRIL 14, 1936, CONSOLIDATING VOTING PRECINCTS,
AND DESIGNATING ELECTION OFFICERS FOR SAID
ELECTION.
~VHEREAS, the laws of the State of C~lifornia re-
lating to the Municipalities of the S~xth Class, provide for
the holding of a General El~dtion in said City on the second
Tuesday in April of every even numbered year, and furthez
provide that the City Council may, for the purpose of said
election, consolidate and designate voting precincts and
designate election officers for said election, and this being
such an even numbered yearr'
BE IT RESOLVED:
That a general municipal election be held inthe-
City of Tustin on Tuesday, the l~th day of April, 1936, for
the purpose of electing such officers as are required by law to
be elected, to-wit: Two City Councilmen for the full term
of four years; a City Clerk for the full term of four years,
and a City Treasurer for the full term of four years.
That such election be held in accordance with
the general election laws of the State of O~lifornia in
so far aa the same shall have been made applicable to Munic-
ipalities of the Sixth Class.
That for the purposes of said election the two
regular election precincts in said .~..~.ity~ to-wit' Tus~tin
~fo. 1 and Tustin No. 2, shall be consolidated and

thereof shall be at' the City Hall of the City of Tustin in

That the following persons, residents and qualif-
led voters in the said City of T~.~.stin, are hereby designated
~nd a'ppointed to act as the election offi ials at said elect~on

Judge:
Clerk:
Grover R~ehl
Opal Crawford
Clerk:
Mrs. D. D. Adams
And the salaries of said election officials for
the purposes of said election are he~eby fixed as follows:
Inspecto= $5.00 per day; Judge ~.00 per day, and Clerks
$~.00 per day each.
That the two positions to be filled for City Court-
cilmen are for the full te~m of four yes, rs, and the ~vo cand-
idates receiving the highest number of votes shall ~e de-
clared elected for the full term of four years; and in the
event of a tie said matter shall be decided by lot.
That the one position to be filled for City Clerk
is for the full term of four years, and the candidate rec-
eiving the highest numbet of votes ~shall 'be declared elected
for the frill term of four yea. rsi$. and in the event of a tie
said matter shall be decided by lot.
That the one position to be filled for City Tre-
asurer is for the full term of four years, and the candidate
receiving the highest number of votes shall be declared
elected for the full term of four years; and in the event of
a tie sa, id matter shall be decided by lot.
And the City Clerk of the City of Tustin is here-
by directed and required to give Notice of said ~Election in
accordance herewith and such other notices as a. re required by
law, in the manner required by law, in accordance with the
Election Laws of The State of California, as they are made
to apply to municipalities o~'~ the Sixth Class
This resolution shall take effect immediately.

California, do hereby cerfify that the whole number of mere-
bets of the City Council of the City of Tustin is five; that

was duly pagged, approved and adopted, and was signed by the
~ayor, and attested by the City Cle:?k, all at a regular meet-

OF TUSTIN CALLING GENERAL :~"UNICIPAL ELECTION
FOR APRIL 14, 1936, CONSOLIDATING VOTING
PRECINCTS, AND DESIGNATING ELECTION OFFICERS
FOR SAID ELECTION.
VPHEREAS, the laws of the State of California relating
to the Municipalities of the Sixth Class, provide for the holding
of a General Election in said City on the second Tuesday in
April of every even numbered year, and further provide that the
City Council ma.y, for the purpose of said election, consolidate
and designate voting precincts and designate election officers
for said elec tion, and this being such an even numbered year:
B~ IT RESOLVED:
That a general municipal election be held in the
City of Tustin on Tuesday, the 14th day of April, 1936, for the
purpose of electing such officers as are required by law to be
elected, to-wit: Two City Councilmen for the full term of
four years; a City Clerk for the full term of four years, and a
City Treasurer for the full term of four yeas s.
That such election be held in accordance with the
general election laws of the State of California in so far as
the same shall have been made applicable to Municipalities of
the Sixth Class.
That for the purposes of said election the tiro regular
election precincts in said City, to-wit: Tustin No. 1 and
Tustin No. 2, shall be consolidated ~.nd known as Consolidated
Voting Precinct "A", and the rolling place thereof shall be at
the City Hall of the City of Tustin in said City, and the polls
shall be open between the hours of seven o~clock A. :', and seven
o'clock P. ~:{. of said day;

for the full term of four years, and the candidate receiving the
highest number of votes shall be declared elected fox the full
term of four years; and in the event of a tie said matter shall
be decided by lot.
That the one position to be filled for City Treasurer
is for the full term of four years, and the candidate receiving
the highest number of votes shall be declared elected for the
full term of four years; and in the event of a tie said matter
shall be decided by lot.
And the City Clerk of the City of Tustin is hereby dir-
ected and required to give Notice of said Election in accordance
herewith and such other notices as are reauired by law, in the
Wanner reauired by la.~q, in accordance with the Election Laws of

of the City Council of the City of Tustin is five; that the fore-
going resolution, being Resolution Number was duly passed,
approved and adopted, and was signed by the ~:ayor, and attested
by the City Clerk, all at a rebular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Tustin held on the 17th day of February, 1936,
