A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, CREATING THE OFFICE OF CITY
ENGINEER, FIXING THE COMPENSATON OF SUCH CITY ENGINEER, AND
APPOINTING J.L. MCBRIDE, AS CITY ENGINEER, DURING THE PLEASURE
OF THE COUNCIL
WHEREAS, the City of Tustin requires the services of a City
Engineer, to advise the members of the City Council and other
City Officials, on matters, customarily handled and re,ferred to
,
the City Engineer, and to perform the duties usually required of
a City Engineer, and WHEREAS, J. L. McBride, of Santa Ana, Oalif-'
ornia, has applied for the office of City Engineer, and appears
to this Board to be well qualified for such position, now there-
BE Ii' RESOLVED:
That the said J. L. McBride, be, and he is hereby appointed
to ghe office of City Engineer of the City of Tustin, during the
pleasure of this Council.
The said office of City Engineer, shall, until, fur~t, he'r
action by this Board, be without regula~~ salary, but the said
0ity Engineer shall be paid the reasonable value of such services
as he shall be called upon to perform in connection with said
office, and the said City Engineer shall, at the first regular
meeting of this Council in each month, present a demand for such
services as shall have been rendered by him to the said City of
Tustin, during the preceding month, which demand shall be for
the reasonable value of the services so rendered, and shall be
subject to the approva'l of the Oouncil, and when so approved, shall
be paid.
The said Oity Engineer shall assume the duties of his of-
flee immediately upon the passing of this resol~tton.
This resolution shall take effect immediately.
Passed, approved and adopted this 7th day of November, 1927.
