HUSTON, CITY MANAGER OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK APPOINTMENT OF COMMISSION/COMMI'I-FEE MEMBERS The City Council will cast ballots to appoint members to the Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, and Audit Committee. RECOMMENDATION Cast ballots to determine appointments for the Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, and Audit Committee. FISCAL IMPACT None. BACKGROUND On March 4, 2001, at 6:00 p.m., the City Council will conduct interviews to fill Commission/Committee vacancies. The following candidates have submitted their applications and are seeking appointment to the Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, and Audit Committee: PLANNING COMMISSION - Two (2) vacancies for 2-year terms expiring on March 1, 2004. All applicants meet the qualification of being a registered voter in the City: Cheryl Bell, Mark Denny, Linda Jennings, David Mello, Jr., Nathan Menard, Cole Othmer, Leslie Pontious, and Sherry Reece. PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION - three (3) vacancies for 2-year terms expiring on March 1, 2004. All applicants meet the qualification of being a Tustin resident: Allen Amundson, Mark Denny, Kenneth Eckman, Ginny Hovland, Adrian Morton, and Al Murray. AUDIT COMMI'I-rEE - Two (2) vacancies for 4-year terms expiring on March 1, 2006. Applicants meet the qualification of being a registered voter in the City: R. Lawrence Friend and Gregory Moore. The final step in the selection process will be completion of ballots by the City Council in open session.
