~ CITY OF TUFfIN, CALIFORNIA, REVISING
~ 3 PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN
-~ i STREETS AS AN EMERGENCY OEDINANCE

The City of Tustin, California, does ordain as follows:

1. It is hereby determined that the speed permitted by State law as
6 applicable upon the following-streets is other than is reasonable and it is
hereby declared that the prima facie speed limit shall be as herein set
7 forth on those streets, or parts of streets, herein designated when signs
have been erected giving notice thereof.

2. The prima facie speed limit for vehicular ,traffic' on the following
9 streets, or portions of streets, is hereby established as hereinafter set
forth, effective when signs have been erected giving notice thereof.

3. Provided, further, however, that in any instance where the prima
11 facie speed limit as fixed by the vehicle code of the State of California is
less than the prima facie speed limit hereby determined and fixed, then the
IZ prima facie speed limit which is provided in the Vehicle Code shall be
applicable.
4. The streets, or portions of streets within the Tustin City limits,
14 affected and the declared prima facie speed limit shall be as follows:

Mitchell Avenue between 30 Miles Per Hour
17 Red Hill Avenue and
Browning Avenue

5. The City Council hereby finde and determines that the enactment of
19 this ordinance is an emergency, urgency measure and is required for the
preservation of health and welfare. This ordinance shall become effective
Z0 immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND AEX]F[ED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Tustin, California, held on the 1st day of June , 1981.

the City Council of the City of Tustin is five; that the above and foregoing
Ordinance No. 852 was duly and regularly introduced and read at a regular meeting
of the City Council held on the 1st day of June~ 1981, and was given its second
reading and duly passed and adopted at a regular meeting held on the 1st day of
June, 1981, as an urgency measure by the following vote:
