A RESOLUTION OF REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF CITY OF
TUSTIN, ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING
THAT PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY DEMANDS
IMMEDIATE EXPENDITURE OF PUBLIC MONEY TO
SAFEGUARD LIFE AND HEALTH (14652 Prospect Ave.)
WHEREAS, property was acquired by the City of Tustin at 14652 Prospect
Avenue for expansion of Columbus Tustin Park; and
WHEREAS, the prior owner of said property had a life estate interest and
the heirs had the right to remove the house; and
WHEREAS, the heirs of the prior owner recently removed the house without
notifying the City, leaving the property in a dangerous condition with sagging
building, exposed foundations, basement excavation, nearly empty swimming
pool, polluted water, broken glass, broken concrete, sharp steel, splintered
11 umber and uprooted trees.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Tustin Community Redevelopment Agency does resolve as
Follows:
SECTION 1. That there is immediate need to eliminate all dangerous
conditions from the property at 14652 Prospect Avenue.
SECTION 2. That the public interest and necessity demands the immediate
expenditure of public money to safeguard life and health.
SECTION 3. The Director of Public Works/City Engineer is directed to
steps to immediately eliminate said dangerous conditions in this
emergency without complying with the formal bidding procedures for public
contracts.
SECTION 4. This action is taken pursuant to Section 20168 of the Public
Contract Code of the State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of theTustin Community Redevelop-
t Agency of the City of Tustin held on the 15th day of June, 1987.
