RESOLUTION NO. RDA 87-17
A RESOLUTION OF THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR CARPETING IN THE CIVIC CENTER COMPLEX
AND DIRECTING THE SECRETARY TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
WHEREAS, adoption of Resolution No. RDA 87-17 officially
rescinds Resolution No. 87-16; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Redevelopment Agency
of the City of Tustin, California to purchase and install
cabinetry at various locations in City Hall; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has presented plans
specifications for said work;
and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the plans and
specifications presented by the City Manager be and are hereby
approved as the plans and specifications for:
CARPETING IN THE CIVIC CENTER COMPLEX
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary is hereby
authorized and directed to advertise as required by law for the
receipt of sealed bids or proposals for the performance of the
work specified in the aforesaid plans and specifications which
said advertisement shall be substantially in the following
words and figures to-wit:
"NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS"
SEALED PROPOSALS will be received at the office of the
Tustin Community Redevelopment Agency Secretary, Tustin City
Hall, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California, until 10:00 a.m.
on the 7th day of January, 1988, at which time they will be
publicly opened and read for performing work as follows:
CARPETING IN THE CIVIC CENTER COMPLEX
Bids are required for the entire work described herein:

Installation of carpeting as follows:
a) Police Department - Cambray "Mariner"
#2903, or equivalent, glue down carpet.
b) City Hall (exclusive of City Manager's
office area)
c) Council Chambers and connecting conference
room - Cambray "TyroliW'#3926, or equivalent,
glue down carpet.
3. Carpet fronts and returns of counters with
Cambray "Mariner" #2903, or equivalent:
a) Core hallway between Personnel and Finance
b) Community Services
c) Public Works (Engineering)
d) Community Development
Replacement of existing top base with coved
Burke, or equivalent vinyl top set (color to
be determined)

Patch existing floor as required to obtain level
surface capable of carpet installation
Removal and replacement of all furniture,
fixtures, and/or equipment in work area
Removal and Replacement of skirt base at steps
in Council Chambers (color to be determined)
Locate and mark, with 1/8" wood dowels,all
screwholes in Council Chambers and Police
Department squad rooms.

The Tustin Community Redevelopment Agency reserves the
right to reject and all bids and/or waive any informality on a
bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty
(30) days after the date set for the opening thereof.

The Tustin Community Redevelopment Agency has obtained from
the Director of Industrial Relations the general prevailing
rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for
legal holiday and overtime work in the locality in which the
work is to be performed for each craft or type of work needed
and a copy of the same is on file in the office of the Agency
Secretary.
Not less than said prevailing rates shall be paid to
workers employed on this public works contract as required by
Labor Code Sections 1771 and 1774 of the State of California.
