SUMMARY
Construction of the Tustin Library Project (CIP No. 1045) has been completed to the satisfaction of the

It is recommended that City Council take the following actions:

and
2. Authorize the City Engineer to execute and file the Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's
Office.
FISCAL IMPACT
The final construction contract cost for the Tustin Library Project is $15,117,626. This includes the
original contract amount and authorized change orders of 3.2 % of the contract cost, which is well below
the standard rate of 10%.
To date, project construction, design, land acquisition, and construction management have been
completed. There are some additional items to be completed prior to closing out the project including, but
not limited to, additional benches and furniture, umbrellas and stands, security cameras, and some minor
miscellaneous items. However, it is anticipated that the final project cost will be below the authorized
budget even with change orders. Once these items have been completed a detailed project accounting
will be provided for the City Council's information.
