TUSTIN PLANNING COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING
FEBRUARY 22, 1993
CALL TO ORDER: 6:12 p.m., Tustin Senior Center
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE/INVOCATION
ROLL CALL: Present: Kasalek, Baker, Butler, Stracker and
Weil
PUBLIC CONCERNS:
(Limited to 3 minutes per person for items not
on the agenda.)
At this time members of the public may address
the Commission regarding any items not on the
agenda and within the subject matter
jurisdiction of the Commission (NO action can
be taken off-agenda items unless authorized by
law).

LOCATED ON THE SPEAKER'S TABLE SO THAT YOUR

CONSIDERED ROUTINE AND WILL BE ENACTED BY ONE
MOTION. THERE WILL BE NO SEPARATE DISCUSSION
OF THESE ITEMS PRIOR TO THE TIME OF THE VOTING
ON THE MOTION UNLESS MEMBERS OF THE
COMMISSION, STAFF OR PUBLIC REQUEST SPECIFIC
ITEMS TO BE DISCUSSED AND/OR REMOVED FROM THE
CONSENT CALENDAR FOR SEPARATE ACTION.)
1. Minutes of the February 8, 1993 Planninq Commission meetinq.
Commissioner Weil moved, Baker seconded to approve the Consent
Calendar. Motion carried 5-0.

OLD BUSINESS:
2. Status Report
Recommendation - Receive and File
Commissioner Butler asked why the new gymnasium was reported twice
as CUP 92-039 and 92-037; asked why item DR88-010, page 3, Item No.
07, remodel of acute care facility, was left over from the 1980's.
Staff replied that one was the Design Review and the other the
Conditional Use Permit, but will review; that the outstanding item
was a second phase to the development, but will check.

Commissioner Butler recommended that Bill Stracker be part of the
beautification committee and asked if he would represent the
Commission.
COMMISSION CONCERNS:
Commissioner Stracker
-Inquired about what the McWhinney Berries owners were allowed
to sell on E1 Camino Real; and commented on the signage they
were utilizing.
Staff informed Commissioner Stracker that McWhinney Berries
was allowed to sell various agricultural and floral products,
but only one type of produce at a time; and that their signage
was limited by the Temporary Use Permit.
Commissioner Kasalek
-Inquired about the sidewalk located by the library and asked
if a sign could be posted to direct pedestrian traffic.
Staff noted that the sidewalk was a temporary sidewalk and
that staff would look into putting up a temporary sign.
Commissioner Butler
-Asked if proper notice had been done to notify the public
about the time change for the Planning Commission meeting.
Staff indicated that proper notice had been given.

Commissioner Well moved, Baker seconded to adjourn the meeting at
6:25 p.m. Motion carried 5-0.
The next regular meeting of the Planning Commission is on March 8,
1993 at 7:00 p.m. at the Tustin Senior Center, 200 S. "C" Street,
Tustin.
