SUBJECT: CANCELLATION OF AUGUST 17, 2010 CITY COUNCIL MEETING
SUMMARY:
The regularly scheduled City Council meeting of August 17, 2010 is being recommended for
cancellation since there will not be a quorum of the City Council.
RECOMMENDATION:
Direct the City Clerk to post a Notice of Cancellation for the regularly scheduled Council
meeting of August 17, 2010. The City Council hereby waives notice of said meeting as
required by Government Code Section §54954.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None
BACKGROUND:
Government Code Section §54954 requires that each Councilmember be given notice of the
date and time of a meeting unless expressly waived.
The Joint City Council and Redevelopment Agency, which regularly meets on the first and
third Tuesday of each month, has for many years cancelled the second meeting in August.
The Council/Agency members will resume consideration of regular items at their regular
scheduled meeting to be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 in the Council Chamber, 300
Centennial Way, Tustin.
