PUBLIC CONCERNS: None. CONSENT CALENDAR: 1. 2. Weil, Puckett, Baker, McCarthy, White Minutes from Planning Commission meeting October 28, 1985. Approve Final Tract Map 12273 by the adoption of Resolution 2281. RESOLUTION NO. 2281 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN RECOMMENDING TO THE TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF FINAL TRACT MAP 12273. Motion carried 5-0. Puckett moved, White seconded to approve the Consent Calendar. PUBLIC ItEARINGS 3. TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP 85-391 Applicant: Raj Manufacturing Location: 2712 Dow Avenue Request: Authorization to consolidate two parcels into one parcel Presentation: Mary Ann Chamberlain, Associate Planner Chair Well opened the public hearing at 7:48 p.m. Seeing no one wishing to speak, Well closed the hearing at 7:48 p.m. Puckett moved, White seconded to approve Tentative Parcel Map 85-391 by the adoption of Resolution No. 2280. Partnership Southeasterly corner of Walnut Street and Newport Avenue Authorization to consolidate four parcels into one parcel Mary Ann Chamberlain, Associate Planner Chair Wetl opened the public hearing at 7:51 p.m. Seeing no one wishing to speak, Well closed the hearing at 7:51 p.m. Puckett moved, White seconded to recommend to the City Council approval of Tentative Parcel Map 85-362 by the adoption of Resolution 2279. Motion carried 5-0. 5. AMENDMENT NO. I TO USE PERMIT 84-7 Applicant: Locatl on: Request: California Sunshine Gymnastics 15411Redhill Avenue, Unit D Approval of a 1750 square foot expansion and extension of previously allowed hours of operation. Presentation: Laura Pickup, Assistant Planner Chair Wetl opened the public hearing at 8:00 p.m. Seeing no one wishing to speak, Well closed the hearing at 8:00 p.m. White moved, McCarthy seconded to table this item, directed staff to re-notice this public hearing for an appropriate date, and allowed applicant to extend the hours of operation with reapplication on the use permit. Motion carried 5-0. White moved, McCarthy seconded to direct staff to research the inclusion of schools in the M zone. Motion carried 5-0. AI)MI#ISTRATIVE I~AI-FERS Old Business None. New Business 6. Approval of.Sign Plan for Fiddlers Three Presentation: Laura Pickup, Assistant Planner Puckett moved, White seconded to approve the neon wall sign. Motion carried 5-0. Minutes November 12, 1985 page three 7. Approval of Sign Plan for Coco's Restaurant Presentation: Laura Pickup, Assistant Planner Puckett moved, White seconded to approve the sign plan. Motion carried 5-0. STAFF CONCERNS 8. Oral Report on Council actions of November 4, 1985. Presentation: Donald D. Lamm, Director of Community Development COMMISSION CONCERNS White moved, McCarthy seconded to instruct staff to do a zoning amendment to eliminate toxic waste transfer stations in the M zone. Motion carried 5-0. White commented on the third anniversary of three members serving on the Planning Commission. White requested staff investigate the noises being emitted from possibly the Tustin East Industrial Complex. The noise is intermittent throughout the night hours and sounds like a beeper or paging system. Would like to stop the noise at night or eliminate the exterior system. Well presented Baker with a City of Tusttn lapel pin. Well recognized Mary Ann Chamberlain for being Chairman of the Orange County Housing Authority Advisory Committee. ADJOURNMENT McCarthy moved, Puckett seconded to adjourn at 8:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. November 25th for a joint City Council/Planning Commission public workshop regarding First Street Specific Plan.
