HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Minutes 06-02-80 TUSTIN PLANNING AGLNCY Minutes of Regular Meeting June 2, 1980 The Planning Agency held a regular meeting Monday, June 2, 1980, in the Council Chambers o¢ the Tusfin City Hall, 300 Centennial Way, Tusfin, California. The meeting was called fo order af 3 p.m. by Chairman Saltarelli. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mr. Hoesferey and the invocation was given by Mr. Edgar. Present: Chairman Salfarelli; Agency members: Hoesferey, Edgar, Sharp, and Kennedy Absent: None Also present: Mike Brotemarkle, Community Development Director Dan Blankenship, City Administrator Midge Mehl, Recording Secretary The minutes of the meetings held May 19, 1980 were approved as written, with the waiving of reading same. PUBliC HEAR~N~ None PUBLIC CONCERNS An item was brought up by Ms. Bonnie Perkins, but if was a matter for the Council. See the Council Minutes. OLD BUSINESS None NEW BUSINESS Reauest ~f e×tension of time Cot Use Permits 79-14 and 78-~9 MOTION by Sharp, SECONDED by Edgar, fo approve the request for a grant of an extension of time for Use Permits 79-14 and 78-~9. AYES: Hoesterey, Edgar, Sharp, Kennedy, and Salfarelli NOES: None STAFF qONCERNS None AGENCy CONCERNS Oronge Counf~ Department of Education Mrs. Kennedy said she had a concern about the Orange County Department of Education building fo be located near Warner and Red Hill. She said she felt the Agency should take a closer look at this since if was not in compliance with the zoning in the area, nor the General Plan. She said she had some severe reservafTons about this proposal. Mr. Sal~arelli said escrow had been closed. Mr. Brofemarkle said the Agency members had not endorsed the projecf~ but rather stated they were not negative toward tho concept. Staff is preparing a letter outlining fo the School District the fiming~ procedure, and hear- ings necessary for the proposal~ including a focused EIR, GPA~ Zone Change, and Use Permit. The Agency will, therefore, have substantial review and con- ditional approval power over any such proposal. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business [o come before the Planning Agency, Chairman Salfarolli declared the meeting adjourned af 3:15 p.m., fo meet again for a regular meeting to be held June 16, 1980 in the Council Chambers of the Tusfin City Hall.
