Minutes of Regular Meeting
Monday, March 5, 1979
The Planning Agency held a regular meeting Monday, March 5, 1979 in the
Council Chambers of the Tustin City tIall, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin,
California. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Welsh at 3:04 p.m.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was led by Mr. Sharp and the in-
vocation was given by Mr. Saltarelli.

and Mr. Saltarelli

MINUTES
The minutes of the regular meeting held February 20, 1979 were approved
as written, with the waiving of reading same.
PUBLIC HEARING
Use Permit 79-5
Applicant: Vista Development
Location: Northwesterly corner of 17th and Prospect
Mr. Chase requested that the Agency continue this item until the next
regular meeting due to the fact there were concerns about trash con-
tainers, windows, type of trees to be planted, etc.. He anticipated
having a meeting with the adjacent neighbors of the subject property
sometime during the week, in order to resolve any problems which might
be of concern. This meeting, he said, was set for March 14, ]979.
The Chairman asked if there was anyone in the audience who cared to speak
on this item and hearing no response he asked the pleasure of the Agency.
MOTION by Saltarelli, SECONDED by Kennedy to continue Use Permit 79-5
until the regular meeting to be held March 19, 1979.

Final Parcel Ma~s 79-1026, 1027, 1028, and 1029
Location: Corner of Myford and Walnut Avenues
Mr. Chase presented the factual data and, with the aid of a colored map,
explained exactly what the applicant was requesting.
There followed a discussion on the adequacy of parking.

MOTION by Schuster, SECONDED by Saltarelli, to recommend approval of
Final Parcel Maps 79-1026, 1027, 1028, and 1029 to the City Council by
the adoption of Resolution No. 1805.

STAFF CONCERNS
Mr. Chase stated he had a few items he would like to bring to the
attention of the Agency.
Fuller Gardens and Yorba Gardens Apartments
Mr. Chase stated he wanted the Agency to be aware that these two com-
ploxes were contemplating a probable conversion of the apartments to
condominiums. With the aid of a map he pointed out the two subject
properties and discussed some of the issues of availability of rental
and owner occupied housing in the city.
Construction Activity
With the aid of a graph, Mr. Chase, explained the construction activity
for the city of Tustin which he estimated would remain at the 30 million
dollar level through 1979, with a gradual decline through 1980 and 1981.

ing to be held March 19, 1979.
