Minutes of Regular Meeting
Tuesday, February 20, 1979
The Planning Agency held a regular meeting Tuesday, Februarv 20, 1979
instead of the usual Monday, due to that date being a legal City holiday,
in the Council Chambers of the Tustin City Hall, 300 Centennial Way,
Tustin, California. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Welsh
at 3:08 p.m.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was led by Mrs. Kennedy and the in-
vocation was given by Mr. Schuster.
Present: Chairman Welsh, Mr. Schuster, and Mrs. Kennedy
Absent: Mr. Sharp and Mr. Saltarelli
Also Present: Brian Chase, Comm~ity Development Director
James Rourke, City Attorney
Bob Ledendecker, City Engineer
M.I. Mehl, Recording Secretary
MINUTES
The minutes of the regular meeting held February 5, 1979 were approved
as corrected, with the waiving of reading same.

OLD BUSINESS
Resolution No. 1904 (Use Permit 79-2)
Applicant: Yoshino%aWest and Parkland Shopping Center
Location: Southeast corner of Newport and Walnut
Mr. Chase briefed the Agency, saying that signing was one of the main
concerns of the staff. He explained that condition 2.b. of Resolution
No. 1804 would preclude any excessive or improper signs being erected.
MOTION by Schuster, SECONDED by Kennedy to adopt Resolution No. 1804.
AYES: Schuster, Kennedy, and Welsh
NOES: None
ABSENT: Sharp and Saltarelli

STAFF CONCERNS
Mr. Chase presented a report prepared by Mr. Gene Snyder, which indicated
the vacancy factor of apartments within the city; he also advised the
ROLL CALL
Agency that at the Council meeting to be held this date, at 7:30 p.m.,
there would be a hearing on Ordinance No. 755 regarding insulation
material; and some time in the future the Fuller Garden Apartments on
Vandenberg would be requesting a condo conversion. Also, there would
be a public hearing scheduled, concerning the office building at 17th
and Prospect, on land recently annexed into the city. A resident's
meeting J s to be held prior to the public hearinq to work out any con-
cerns.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Plann~.nq Agency the
meeting adjourned at 3:18 p.m., to meet again at the regular meeting
to be held March 5, 1979 at 3 p.m.
