PUBLIC HEARINGS Vm OLD BUSINESS VI. NEW BUSINESS Meeting called to order at 7:37 P. M. by Chairman Marsters. Present: Commissioners: Absent: Others Present: Marsters, Halus, Oster, Sharp. Hefner, Bacon, Brand. Ken Bryant, Assistant to City Attorney Rourke. James Supinger, Planning Director Florence Kortmeyer, Deputy City Clerk Moved by Oster, seconded by Sharp, that Minutes. of December 12th meeting correctly reflect that Denial for requested sign on V-66-177, Sizzling Broiler, was based on Paragraph I & 2. Motion carried. Moved by Oster, seconded by Halus, that the Minutes of December 12th meeting be approved as corrected. None. I.'. one, 1_, A_HE~;.DHENT TO ZO_NIHG ORDINANCE _NO. 1~7.. Small Animal Hospitals, Veterinary Clinics and Kennels. Discussion was opened regarding the advisability of changing the Ordinance at this time unless actual need for change could be Justified. Mr. Supinger, Planning Director explained that he would like to see the Ordinance re.vamped and be put in readiness for situations that might arise. The Commissioners placed emphasis on Paragraph 3, as presented lu proposed Ordinance, relative to the restriction on odor:; which u~ght be discernable beyond the property line. .1- VII. CORRES- PONDENCE VIII. OTHER BUSINESS. Suggestion was made that matter be set for Public Heari~ at an early ck~te. Moved by Sharp that there be a continuance of the matter in order that further study be made. Motion died for a lack of second. Moved by Halus, seconded by Oster, that the matter be tabled. Providing for the Amendment of the Minimum Building Site Area, Minimum Lot Uidth Required st Property Line and Hinimum Off-Street Parking Requirement (Service Stations). Mr. Halus suggested that tho provisions for the Amendment of the Minimum Building Site Area, Lot Width and Off. Street Parking be set for Public Hearing. Oster moved, seconded by Halus, that the Planning Director Mr. Supinger, be directed to set the matter for Public Hearing regarding the Amending of the requirements for Service Station Developments and that prior to the Public Hearing, the comments of the Uestern Oil & Gas Company Association be solicited. Motion carried unanimously. 1.. TENTATIVE ImP CF _T.RACT NO... ~448. Tract located east of Newport Avenue and South of Cowan Heights Drive,.consisting of 84.8 acres.~ presently zoned P-C. Proposal is to have 205 lots, 99-minimum area 15,000 sq. ft. and 106 minimum area 10,000 sq. ft. Surrounding, property zoned E-4. Considerable study of the Map was made by the Commissioners and explanation concerning it was given by Planning Director Mr. SuPinger. Moved by Halus, seconded by Oster, that Planning Director be requested to notify the County that no adverse comments were made by the Commissioners regarding Tract Map #5448 and that Commissioners made note it was in accord and harmony with Tustin Area General Plan and to so notify County that Tustin Planning Commission had no objections to approval of ~ubject map. Motion carried. 1. FOR~L FINDINGS REO, UI.RED FOR PLA, NNING COM. MI.SSIO~.~. Mr. Oster suggested that Motion Forms as suggested by Mr. Supinger be put in use, and that copy of contem- plated Motion be placed in Commissioner's book for referral in order to expedite and better facilitate the adoption of Motion.
