ORDINANCE NO. 675
] AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
2 TUSTIN , CALIFORNIA, AMMENDING CHAPTER 19 , SEC. 19 . 9
OF THE TUSTIN CITY CODE REGARDING THE BONDING IN
3- CONSTRUCTION OF SWIMMING AND OTHER POOLS.
4 " The City Council of the City of Tustin, California does
5 ordain that the Tustin City Code-be amended as follows:
6 Section 19.9 is ~ended to read as follows:
7 Section 19.9 Clean-up Bond.
-8 (a) Each applicant for a permit shall provide, before
issuance, an agreement and cash bond for the purpose
'9 of insuring a) that all sand, cement, dirt and any other
debris is removed from ·streets, gutters, curbs, parkways,
10 sidewalks and other public property, b)-that the
public property shall be left in clean and undamaged
11 condition, ahd, c) that adequate barricades have been
installed and maintained. Said bond shall be in the
12 amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00) for the
construction of a swimming. pool or other construction
13 related thereto requiring the use of heavy equipment.
14 (b) Said agreement and bond may be reduced to not less
than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for the construction
15 of spas, j acuzzis, and other small pools not intended
swimming, when in the determination of the Building
1~ Official the scope of the project will' have a minimal
impact on public improvements, by reason of not
17 requiring the use of heavy construction equipment over
curbs, sidewalks or public streets.

(c) Said bond shall terminate and be returnable to the
19 applicant at the time and provided that a) debris and
other materials have been properly removed, b) the
20 public property has been left clean and undamaged, and
c) final inspection, approval and acceptance of the
21 .work and public property has been made by the Street
Department . -

(d) If the pub. lic property has not been left in a clea.~
· 23 and undamaged condition and/or adequate barricades
required by the City Engineer have not been instaTled
24 and maintained, the City shall cause the necessary work
to be done and shall deduc~ the cost-thereof from the
25 bond.
2~ PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Tustin
'27 City Council held on the 17th day of February. 1976.

certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Tustin is five; that the above and foregoing
Ordinance No. 675 was duly and regularly introduced and
read at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
~day of FebruarV, 1975' and was given its second reading
and duly passed and adopted as an emergency, urgency measure
'at a regular meeting held on the 17th day of February
1975, by the following vote:
