AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA·
APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN OF
CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS THE
"SYCAMORE-REDHILL ANNEXATION NO. 85 OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN"
5 The City Council of the City of Tustin, California, does
6 ordain as follows:
V 1. The City Council finds and determines:
8 A. That on February 28, 1975 the City of Tustin,
9 California, filed with the Local Agency Formation Commission
10 of Orange County~ a proposal for the annexation of ~hat
!1 certain territory known as "Sycamore-Redhill Annexation
1~ No. 85" and that on March 26, 1975 said propcoal was
~ approved by the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange
14 Cou.nty.
15 B. That on May 27, ].975 the Planning Commission of

the City of Tustin, California, recommended .the comm~nceme
17 of annexation proceedings to the City Council of the City
- 18 Tustin for the annexation'of the "Sycamore-Redhill Annexa-
19 tion No. 85-"
~0 C. That on June 2, 1975 the City Council of the City
of.Tustin, California, gave its consent, by Resolution
~ No. 75-30, to the commencement of annexation proceedings for
~ "Sycamore-Redhill Annexation No. 85."

D. That on June 26, 1975 the proponents of the
"Sycamore-Redhil! Annexation ~o. 85"' published a. Notice cf
Intent to Circulate Petition for Annexation pursuant to
Government Code Section 35111'. That. on June 27, 1975 the
proponents of the "Sycamore-Redhii1 Annexation No. 85" filet

with the City Clerk of the City of Tustin, California,

a copy of the Notice and Affidavit of Publication of the
Notice of Intent to Circulate Peiition for Annexation of The
"Syzamore-Redhill Annexation Noo
E. That not sooner than twenty-one (21) days after
the publication of the Notice of. Intent to Circulate Petition
for the Annexatio.n of "Sycamore-Redhill Annexation No. 85,"
~he proponents of said annexation circulated a Petition for
Annexation within the territory to be annexed~ Thereafter,
the proponents of said annexation filed with the City of
Tustin a Petition for Annexation of said territory to the
City of Tustin, signed by not less than one-fourth (1/4) of
the qualified electors residing within such territory.
F. That on July 21, 1975 the City of Tustin, ~aliforni~
adopted Resolution No. 75-49 declaring its intention to call
a special annexation election and fixing a time and place
for hearing by the.City Council on the proposed annexam'ion
an~.of written requests for exclusion of property for the
"Sycamore-Redhitl Annexation No. 85."
G. That on August 18, 1975 at 'the hour of 7:30 P.M.
in the Council Chambers of the City of TuStin, California,
the City Council did conduct 'a hearing on the proposed
annexation and received and heard and considered requests
for exclusion of property from the proposed "Sycamore-
Re,hill Annexation No. 85."
H. That' pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation
Act of 1913, and pursuant to Ordinance No. 660, adopted by
the City Council of the City of Tustin, on the second day of
September, 1975, a special election was held on the
fourth day of November, 1975 in inhabited territory con-
tiguous to the City of Tustin-designated as the "Sycamor~-
Redhill Annexation No. 85 of the City of Tustin," and which
is hereinafter more particularly described in Exhibit "A"
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this
reference. That at said special election the following
question was submitted to the qualified electors residing in

CATION OF THE NOTICE OF ELECTION, FOR THE
? ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION OR COMPLETION OF
MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENTS?

I. That on November 17 , 1975 the City Council of

the City'of Tustin canvased the results of the special

election of November 4, 1975 and it appears from the canvas

· of said election that a majority of all votes cast in said
territory on the question of annexation and the assumption
of taxation equally with the property within the City of
14
Tustin, to pay the entire bonded indebtedness of the City of
15
Tustin outstanding or authorized at the date of the.-first
16
publication of the Notice of Election, favor annexation up
the terms contained in the question submittea.

J. That it appears that a special election and all

proceedings relating to the annexation of the territory

known as the "Sycamore-Redhill Annexation No.'85 of the City
of-Tustin" have been conducted strictly in accordance with
law.
2. The City Council of the City of Tustin, California,

does hereby approve the annexation of the inhabited territory

contiguous to the City of .Tustin designaKed as the "Sycamore-
Redhill Annexation No. 85 of the City of Tustin" upon the terms
contained in the aforesaid question which was submitted at the

special election held on the 4th day of November, 1975. Said
~9
territory is described in Exhibit "A'i which is attached hereto

and incorporated herein by this reference.
3- The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this

1 ordinance and cause it to be published once in the Tu~tin News.

Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerlines
of Red Hill Avenue and Sycamore Avenue, said point of inter'-
section als0 being the most easterly corner of the Warnet-
Sycamore Annexation to the City of Tustin, California, per
Ordinance No.-245, passed and adopted December 2, 1963;
Thence, along the existing boundary line of said City of
Tustin as-established by said "Warner-Sycamore Annexation",
by "Walnut Avenue-Red Hill Avenue West Annexation (Revised)",
and by "Red Hill-Walnut Annexation" through the. following
courses:
N. 50001'06" E., a distance of 660.38 feet;
Thence, N. 40°00'23" E., a distance of 660.11 feet;
Thence, S 50000'54" E., a distance of 660.54 feet;
