A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 93-027 ALLOWING FOR ADDITIONAL SECONDARY SIGN COPY AT 1100 EAST EDINGER AVENUE The Planning Commission finds and determines as follows: a. Tha~ a proper application, amendment to Conditional Use Permit 93-027, has been filed by Micro Center requesting authorization to install two (2) sign additions of approximately fifty-three (53) square feet each at 1100 East Edinger Avenue. A public hearing was duly noticed, called and held for said application on January 26, 1998, by the Plamning Commission. C. That the establishment, maintenance, and operation of the use applied for will not, under the circumstances of this case, be detrimental to the health, safety, morals, comfort, and general welfare of the persons residing or working in the neighborhood of such proposed use, and be injurious or detrimental to the property and improvements in the neighborhood of the subject property, and to the general welfare of the City of Tustin as evidenced by the following: 1) The proposed use will not be detrimental to the health, safety, and general welfare of persons residing in or working within the neighborhood, nor to the general'welfare of the City of Tustin in that, although the individual sign area exceeds that allowed by the Sign Code, the sign area would not exceed five (5) percent -of the building elevation which would be consistent with the Sign Code ensuring that the signs appear proportionate to the elevation on which they are located. D. This project has been determined to be a minor alteration to an existing facility and is therefore Categorically Exempt (Class 1) pursuant to Section 15301 of the California Environmental Quality Act. 10 11 12 13 Resolution No. 3574 Page 2 II. The Planning Commission hereby approves an amendment to Conditional Use Permit 93-027 allowing an amendm~ht to Condition 1.1 of Resolution No. 3179 to read as follows: "1.1 The proposed project shall substantially conform with the submitted plans date stamped August 23, 1993 and as a~nended by plans date sta~ped January 26, 1998, on file with the Community Development Department as herein modified or as modified by the Director of Community Development in accordance with this Exhibit. The Director of Community Development may also approve subsequent minor modifications to plans during plan check if such modifications are found to be consistent with provisions of the Pacific Center East Specific Plan."
