TUSTIN PLANNING COMMISSION HELD 0N
TUESDAY EVENING, DECEMBER 7, 1954, AT
THE CITY HALL
MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners Bacon, Means, ~uinn,
Kidd, Hardy, Siegel, Tadlock and Gallion.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Commissioner Byrd.
CITY ATTORNEY: C. Arthur Nisson, Jr., was present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bacon at
7:00 o,clock P. M.
Minutes of the previous meeting of Monday evening,
August 16, 195~, were read and approved.
Upon motion of Commissioner Siegel, seconded by
Commissioner Quinn and duly carried, a Resolution of In-
tention to zone Prescott's Annexation to the City of
Tustin was adopted.
Attorney Otto Jacobs, representing his brother
John Jacobs, of 17842 East First Street, Tustin, spoke
at length in opposition to therequested M-1 Zoning of
Prescott,s Annexation to the City of Tustin.
Frank Swain, of 130 Prospect Avenue, Tustin, spoke
in opposition to M-1 Zoning of the above annexation.
B. R. Gentry, of 15042 South Prospect Avenue,
Tustin, stated that he is in favor of M-1 Zoning of
the Prescott Annexation.
A petition containing twelve signatures objecting
to the requested M-1 Zoning was presented by John
Jacobs.
John Prescott presented a sketch illustrating his
ideas of the possible uses of the property in question
under M-1 Zoning and a map of the area and stated his
reasons for requesting M-1 Zoning for the property.
Mr. Prescott also presented a letter from Mission
Savings & Loan Association, of Santa Aha, stating that
in their opinion the property in question is undesirable
for residence development inasmuch as they state that
it is too close to business and commercial property.
Commissioner Hardy moved that a Resolution be pre-
pared granting Prescott's request for M-1 Zoning for
the South 400 feet and that it be accepted with the
remaining portion to be restricted to C-1 Zoning.
Commissioner ~uinn. seconded the motion which was duly
carried.
Upon motion of CommiSSioner TadlO~k, seconded by
Commissioner Hardy and carried, the above motion warn
amended to include M-1 Zoning for the South 450 feet
instead of the South 400 feet. The remaining Northerly
portion of the annexation to be restricted to C-1
Zoning' as stated in the original motion.
Blue Prints of proposed Subdivision No. 1837,
immediately North of Lockwood Park Place and West of
Prospect Avenue, all within the City limits, were sub-
mi tted to the Commission.
Upon motion of Commissioner Means, seconded by
Commissioner Siegel and duly carried, Chairman Bacon
set Monday evening, January 3, 1955, at 7:00 o,clock
P. M., at the City Hall, as the date for a hearing re-
garding proposed Subdivision No. 1837.
Tentative Tract Map No. 2020 as presented by the
Orange County Planning Commission was approved.
Commissioner Quinn moved to adjourn. Commissioner
Kidd seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned.
