TUSTIN PLANNING COMMISSION HELD ON
MONDAY EVENING, JANUARY 3, 1955, AT
THE CITY HALL
MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners Bacon, Means, Kidd, Hardy,
Gallion, Tadlock and Siegel.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Commissioners Quinn and Byrd.
CITY_ ATTORNEY: C. Arthur Nisson, Jr., was present.
Chairman Bacon called the meeting to order at 7:00
o'clock P. M.
Minutes of the meeting of December 7, 1954, were
read and approved after an addition was made to Paragraph
10 in which it is stated that "Commissioner Hardy moved
that a Resolution be prepared granting Prescott's request
for M-1 Zoning for the South ~00 feet be accepted with
the remaining portion to be restricted to C-1 Zoning.
At 7:10 P. M. Chairman Bacon stated that the Public
Hearing relative to the Tentative Map of Tract No. 1837
as submitted was now open. There were no members of the
public at large present for said public hearing, where-
upon City Engineer McBride verbally recommended approval
of the Tract Map as presented, stating that it complied
with the requirements of Ordinance No. 85 of the City
of Tustin, except for the square footage area of some
of the lots. He stated that due to the size of the par-
cel and the proximity of the parcel to the City limits
that it would be quite difficult to subdivise the area
to have lots having an area of not less than 7~00 square
feet, and that in most instances the lot areas were in
excess of 7200 square feet. Upon motion duly made, sec-
onded and carried, the following Resolution was unani-
mously adopted:
RESOLUTION APPROVING TENTATIVE
TRACT MAP FOR TRACT NO. 1837
The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin does
re solve as follows:
1. That the public hearing on the tentative map
for Tract No. 1837 was duly held at 7:10 P. M., on
January 3, 195%, in the City Hall of the City of Tustin.
2. Resolved further that the City Engineer re-
ported favorable on the Tract Map as presented and
pointed out that although certain lots did not have the
minimum area of 7500 square feet that in most instances
they conformed to said requirement as nearly as practi-
cable.
3. Resolved that tentative map for Tract No. 1837
be approved as presented and the requirement for a mini-
mum square foot area of 7500 square feet per lot be
waived for those lots in said tract which have an area
of less than 7500 square feet as shown on said tentative
map, subject to the further condition that the North-
South Street in said tract be designated as North "D"
Street in the City of Tustin.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Planning Commission of the City of Tusttn held on Janu-
ary 3,
Chairman Bacon presented a tentative map of Tract
No. 203~ as received from the Orange County Planning
Commission which was examined by the members. Upon motion
of Commissioner ;~eans, seconded by Commissioner Gallion
and duly carried, the Clerk was instructed to forward a
letter to the Orange County Planning Commission notifying
them of the approval of the Tustin Planning Commission.
The meeting was adjourned upon motion of Commis-
sioner Hardy, seconded by Commissioner Kidd and duly
carried.
