HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Minutes 07-25-55MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE TUSTIN PLANNING COMMISSION HELD ON MONDAY EVENING, JULY 25, 1955, AT THE CITY HALL MEMBERS PRESENT: MEMBERS ABSENT: CITY ATTORNEY: Bacon, Means, Tadlock, Gallion, Park. Siegel, Quinn, Byrd, Kidd, Hardy. C. Arthur Nisson, Jr., was absent due to vacation. Due to lack of a Planning Commission quorum Mayor Pro Tern Park called a regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:30 P. M. Upon motion made, duly seconded and carried, Mayor Pro Tern Park was appointed a temporary member of the Planning Commission to act for Commissioner Jerome C. Kidd absent due to illness. Chairman Bacon called the meeting of the Planning Commis- sion to order at 7:35 P. M. Minutes of the previous meeting of July llth were read and approved. Chairman Bacon read an Application for Variance by Carl T. and Gaetha Sisson requesting permission to use a 27 foot House Trailer as an office and permission to use sign advertising on Lots 5, 7 and 9, in Block A, Bundy's Addition to Tustin, being Nos. 315-325 and 335 South Tustin Avenue. This request for Variance was discussed by the Commission members. Due to the absence of Attorney Nisson and a desire to have the Attorney pass on the legality of the possible use of a Trailer for business purposes, upon motion of Commis- sioner Park, seconded by Means and duly carried, it was agreed to continue this hearing until August 8th, 1955, at 7:00 o'clock P. M., at the City Hall. Chairman Bacon presented a communication from the Orange County Planning Commission requesting comments of the Tustin Planning Commission in regard to a request for erection of two temporary signs in the County's R-4 Su- burban Residential District. Upon motion of Tadlock, seconded by Means and carried, it was agreed to forward a letter to the Orange County Planning Commission with the request that the rules and regulations presented by that body in regard to signs be taken into consideration. Chairman Bacon announced that this meeting is adjourned until Monday evening, August 8, 1955, at 7:00 o'clock P. Mo Secretary
