MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE TUSTIN
PLANNING COMMISSION HELD ON MONDAY
EVENING, NOVEMBER 14, 1955, AT THE
CITY HALL
MEMBERS PRESENT: Bacon, Tadlock, Means, Byrd, Kidd,
Siegel and Hardy.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Gallion and Quinn
CITY ATTORNk~Y: C. Arthur Nisson, Jr. was present.
Chairman Bacon called the meeting to order at 7:00
o,clock P. M.
Chairman Bacon read an Application for Variance by
Dream Homes, Inc., for permission to erect a 3 ft. x 10
ft. Directional Sign on the vacant property at the South
West Corner of First and Prospect Streets for the purpose
of directing people to their subdivision project located
near Tustin.
Upon motion of Commissioner Tadlock, seconded by Hardy
and duly carried, permission was granted under conditions
and including qualifications as outlined in Paragraph ~, of
the Minutes of June 6, 1955, as follows: "Subject to the
provisions of the proposed County Ordinance for a period
of six months from the date sign is erected and the require-
ment that a $50.00 deposit be posted before sign is erected
as a guarantee that it will be promptly removed at the ex-
piration of six months unless an extension is granted by
the Planning Commission."
Mr. Jerry Fitcher, representing Dyer Wind Machine
Manufacturing Co., was present and requested permission to
install a 5 Horse Power electrically operated Wind Machine
on Horace Stevens property at 324 West Main Street. Upon
motion of Commissioner Means, seconded by Kidd and duly
carried, permission was granted on the basis of the machine
being guaranteed to be noiseless and probably more desirable
than smudge smoke.
A recommendation to the City Council that the City of
Tusttn adopt the 1955 Uniform Building Code was made upon
motion of Commissioner Siegel, seconded by Means and carried.
The meeting was adjourned upon motion of Commissioner
Siegel, seconded by Hardy and duly carried.
