OF THE TUSTIN PLANNING COMMISSION
HELD ON DECEMBER 17, 1956 AT
7:00 P. M.

Bacon, Means, Mrs. Gregory, Stanton and
Siegel.

CITY ATTORNEY : C. Arthur Nisson, Jr. present.
Chairman Bacon called the meeting to order at 7:00 P. M.
On motion by Means, seconded by Stanton and duly carried,
minutes of the last meeting were approved as mailed.
Chairman Bacon opened the Public Hearing on zoning for the
"Hillview Annexation" and the "Revere Annexation to Tustin."
Maps, with zoning as recommended by City Engineer McBride,
were studied by those present. Charles Bennett, a property
owner on the east side of Tustin Avenue spoke at some length
cautioning the Planning Commission to take a long range view
in any action they might take in zoning the district under
discussion.
Mr. Robert Wilde, representing the Carl Klatt property
requested that the west l0 acres of said property be changed
from C-1 to C-2 to conform to the east l0 acres. On motion
by .Siegel, seconded by Means and duly carried, the above
request was granted.
Mrs. Gregory moved, seconded by Means that a Resolution be
adopted accepting Engineer McBrtde's recommendation, with
changes as discussed, on the "Hillview Annexation" zoning
and setbacks and recommending same to the City Council as
proper for adoption. Motion carried, all voting Aye.
Discussion on the "Revere Annexation" zoning was opened.

zoning and appe. r~ntly was satisfied with the explanation.
~lotion by Siegel, seconded by Tadlock that a Resolution be
adopted accepting Engineer McBride's recommendation for
zoning the "Revere House Annexation" and recommending same
to the City Council, as proper for adoption. Motion carried,
all members voting Aye.
Mr. Siegel brought up the matter of the lack of sidewalks
in Tustin, especially on D Street and on First Street, and
on his motion, seconded by Stanton, City Engineer McBride
was instructed to make a survey, regarding costs and methods
of financing the installation of a walk from the Freeway on
D Street to First Street and on First Street from D Street .
to Tustin Avenue. Motion carried.
Motion by Stanton, seconded by Mrs. Gregory that the .meeting
be adjourned. Motion carried.
