TUSTIN PLANNING COMMISSION,
MONDAY, JANUARY 21, 1957.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Bacon, Tadlock, Siegel, Mrs. Gregory
Stanton and Means.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Lindley
CITY ATTORNEY: C. Arthur Nisson, Jr. Present.
Chairman Bacon called the meeting to order at 7:00 P. M.
Motion by Dr. Stanton, seconded by Means that the minutes
be approved as mailed out. Motion carried.
Mr. Chris Lindley's letter of resignation was read and
upon motion by Siegel, seconded by Stanton and duly. carried.,
i~r. Lindley's resignation was accepted with regrets,
effective immediately.
A map of the proposed "Eastside Annexation to Tustin," was
presented to the Commission members and after due consideration
a motion by Siegel, seconded by Means that the Planning
Commission recommend the proposed "Eastside Annexation to
Tustin," to the Tustin City Council for favorable action.
Motion carried.
Also on motion by Siegel, seconded by Stanton that in the
opinion of the Planning Commission, the area fronting
the south side of First Street of the proposed "Eastside
Annexation" owned by Ross Shaffer, Otto Becket and Carl
Becket be zoned M-l, with the exception that a buffer zone,
l~O feet south of the center line and parallel to First
Street, extending to Newport Road be zoned C-1. All
members voting Aye, except Mrs. Gregory who voted present.
The hearing on the land use zoning for the "A. R. Morris
Annexation to Tustin," was opened. There being no one
present, the hearing was declared closed.
Siegel moved, seconded by ~4eans that a Resolution be
adopted accepting Engineer McBride's recommendation that
the "A. R..'~orris Annexation to Tustin" be zoned C-1 and
C-2 as shown on the map and the setback lines as shown
thereon, and recommending same to the City Council as proper
for adoption. Motion carried.
Meeting was duly adjourned.
