MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA, HELD ON MONDAY EVENING,
AUGUST 9, 1951}, AT 7:30 P. M., AT
TSE CITY HALL
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Jerome C. Kidd, Frank E. Bacon, Jr.,
W. L. Tadlock, Arthur 0. Park and
John V. Sauers.
COUNCILMEN ABSENT: None
CITY ATTORNEY: .. C. Arthur Nisson, Jr., was absent.
Mayor Kidd called the meeting to order at 7:30 P. M.
Minutes of the meeting of July 26 were read and ap-
proved.
EMPLOYEES Councilman Park presented a survey made of eight
HEALTH Orange County cities relative to City Employees Group
INSURANCE Health Insurance as proposed by employees of the City
of Tustin. Council discussed the matter. Upon r~totion
of Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman Park
and duly carried, it was agreed that the City pay one-
half the premium req~mired for each participating em-
ployee with the stipulation that the premium covering
the employees family or dependants be paid entirely
by the employee. Employees permitted to choose be-
tween Blue Cross and California Physicians Service
(Blue Shield).
PERMISSION Mr. Roger Williams was present representing the local
GRANTID Junior and Senior Rifle Clubs, requesting permission
FOR STREET on behalf of the Clubs to hold a Street Dance on Main
DANCE Street, between "D" Street and the Alley to the West
of "D" Street, on Friday or Saturday evening, either
during the last week in August or the first week in
September. Upon motion of Councilman Park, seconded
by Councilman Sauers and carried, permission for the
dance was granted subject to the approval of City
Attorney Nisson.
Councilman Park requested and was granted permission
to be absent from the State for a short time begin-
ning August 20th upon motion of Councilman Tadlock,
seconded by Councilman Bacon and duly carried.
BILLS The following bills were presented, examined and or-
dered paid with the exception of two bills from Tustin
Brake and Wheel Alignment which were ordered held over
for investigation.

Park, seconded by Councilman Sauers and duly carried.
