HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Minutes 07-14-58MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN PLANNING COMMISSION, JULY 14, 1958. MEMBERS PRESENT: Bacon, Tadlock, Means, Siegel, Mrs. Gregory and Dr. Stanton. ABSENT : Clark. CITY ATTORNEY : Dennis D. Hayden, present. Chairman Bacon called the meeting to order at 7:00 P. M. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as mailed, on motion of Siegel, seconded by Means and unanimously carried. Chairman Bacon declared the hearing for zoning of the proposed "Greater Tustin Annexation", duly opened. Secretary of the Planning Commission Park read the letter of recommen- dation for zoning the area, submitted by City Engineer McBride. Mr. Luther Beard, Mr. Williamson and Mr. Meyer were among those requesting clarification of certain items as shown on the map of the proposed zoning. Mr. Albert Farnsworth presented a petition signed by twenty owners of property on Newport Avenue asking that their property be Zone C-1. On motion of Siegel, seconded by Means, the petition received from Mr. Albert Farnsworth was ordered received and filed. Motion carried. There being no further discusssion the hearing was declared closed. Motion of Tadlock, seconded by Dr. Stanton that the Tustin Planning Commission adopt the written report of City Engineer McBride and maps appended thereto, and make said recommendations, the recommendations of the Tustin Planning Commission for Zoning and Setback requirements, of the "Greater Tustin Annexation." On motion of'Siegel, seconded by Means and carried, the Secretary of the Planning Commission is instructed to prepare a report of the recommendations of the Tustln Planning Commission and forward them by letter to the Tustin City Council. A letter was received from Mr. Harry E. Bergh of the Orange County Planning Commission stating that the proposal contained in our letter of June 16, 1958 was satisfactory to the Commission. An application for a Conditional Permit for a church on Irvine Blvd and a notice of hearing for a zone change on 17th Street, from the Orange County Planning Commission were studied but no action taken.
