HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Minutes 09-08-58MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN PLANNING COMMISSION, SEPTEMBER 8th, 1958. MEMBERS PRESENT: Bacon, Tadlock, Means, Clark, Mrs. Gregory, and Dr. Stanton. ABSENT : Siegel and Secretary Park. City Attorney Hayden, City Engineer McBride and Building Inspector Haxton were also present. Chairman Bacon opened the meeting at 7:10 P. M. Tadlock moved, seconded by Dr. Stanton that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as mailed. Motion carried. Motion of Tadlock, seconded by Dr. Stanton that the survey form from the Committee for Economic Development be referred to the Secretary of the Planning Commission for reply. Motion carried. A Tentative Map of Tract No. 2514 from the Orange County Planning Commission was considered and on motion of Means, seconded by Clark and carried, the Secretary was instructed to communicate the approval of said Tract by the Tustin Planning Commission to the Orange County Planning Commission. Motion carried. Mr. Len Darling inquired regarding the status of his building on Nisson Road and stated that at first he intended to only move a garage onto the property but later decided to add an addition to it. Mr. Scott, an owner of residential oroperty to the South of Mr. Darling's property voiced opposition to the building and stated that in his opinion building requirements were being violated. Motion of Tadlock, seconded by Dr. Stanton, that the problem be referred to City Attorney Hayden, City Engineer McBride and Building Inspector Haxton for a report and recommendation as to use, setbacks and compliance with ORDINANCE NO. 71. Motion carried. City Engineer McBride made a report and recommendations regarding setbacks and rezoning of certain property ow.ned by Mr. Gilbreathe et al. After discussion by the Planning Commission, RESOLUTION NO. 511 was adopted on motion of Clark, seconded by Means. All members present voting Aye. ~lrs. Gregory gave a report on the activities of the County Park Commission. There was also some discussion regarding a Master Plan. There being no further business the meeting was duly adjourned.
