rieeting i•ras called to order at 7:00 P. M. by Chairman Bacon.
Dr. Stanton moved, seconded by Siegel that the minutes
of the last meeting be approved as mailed. Motion
carried.
After a general discussion on the proposed re-zoning of
property designated by Sectional District Map 16-59,
Exhibit D & C by the Orange County Planning Commission,
the followinb action vras recommended.
Moved by Means, seconded by Clark that the property designated
by Sectional District [ap 16-~-9, Exhibit D be re-zoned
from ?-4 to C-2, crith Use Variances granted for all
existing uses, Motion carried.
It was also moved by C1arlt, seconded by Siegel that the
property designated by Sectional District Map 16-5-9,
Exhibit C, be re-zoned from :?-4 to C-2 r~s proposed.
Motion carried.
The Public 'nearing on the plan to re-name t''irst Street
to 3olsa Avenue and 17th Street to ',Jestminster Avenue
tras opened at 7 : 30 P . M .
John Ii. Siegel spoke very briefly, protesting the proposed
change.
`T'here being no one else present vrishinF to speak on the
subject it was :roved by John ~~. Siegel, seconded by Paeans
that the he~3rinJ; be closed. Motion carried.
On motion of Tadlock, seconded by Clark and carried, it
is the considered opinion of the Tustin Planning Commission,
after an advertisied Public Hearing t}:at names of FI3ST
STI3~ET and 17Ti ST3E:~T be retained.
T}ie Secretary of the Planning Commission was instructed
to so inform the City of Santa Ana 3o<<rd of Supervisors,
the Orange County Street Naming Com:~ittee and the Tustin
City Council.
The hearir.b on the proposed re-zoning of the property
owned by Mr. Len lI. DarlinJ; on PJi~son I?oad was opened~at
8:05 P. Iri.
I•:r. Charles Dradley, 3i11 Moses and henry S. Poh, all
residents in the area, spoke in favor of the ch~3.nge
from C-2 to R-3. All agreeinE; that in their opinion the
present zoning was detrimental to adjacent residential
property.
I'ir. John Ii. Siegel, representing Mr. Darling, called to
the attention. of the Commission treat; PIr. Darling purchased
the property from the State tirhile it was in the process
of being zoned C-2 and annexed to the City of Tustin and
suggested that t}ie purchase price Vras based on C-2 zoning.

After further discussion by the Planning Commission,
it was moved by Clark, seconded by Tadlock that

Commission of the City of Tustin, California,
reco:n~aen;iinh changes in zoning for certain real
property described herein", be ado~~ted. Motion
~ carried, all members ~•~ith the exce_otion of John r's.
