Meeting called to order by Clerk at 7'10 P. M.
Nominations for chairman opened by Clerk.
Frank E. Bacon, nominated by J. Siegel, seconded by
M. Sheridan, Nominations closed.
R. Mitchell moved that secretary cast unanimous ballot
for Mr. Bacon as Chairman, seconded by V. Humeston.
Motion carried.
Mr. Mitchell nominated V. Humeston as Vice Chairman,
seconded by J. Siegel. Motion carried.
Motion made by J. Siegel appointing Mrs. Poe secretary
to the Planning Commission, seconded by V. Humeston.
Motion carried.
Moved by M. Sheridan, seconded by R. Mitchell that minutes
of April llth meeting be approved as read. Motion carried.
Mrs Covington appeared before Commission for ruling on
a 6 foot ornamental wall to be erected in front of pool
at apartment on Nisson Rd. Commission recommended that
application for a variance be filed by Mrs. Covington.
R. Clark moved that the Secretary go on record and
notify Orange County Board of Supervisors that the Tustin
Planning Commission is in favor of granting the variance
to the Tustin Swim Club. (Board of Supervisors Use
Variance No 4514). Motion carried. J. Siegel and
V. Humeston abstained from voting.
Moved by J. Siegel, seconded by V. Humeston that Orange
County Planning Commission staff be contacted as to
giving assistance in the study of outlying areas
relative to establishing a Master Plan of Zoning.
Motion carried.
Mr. Siegel moved that a Drive-in Theatre is similar to
and no more objectionable than other C-2 uses. Seconded
by R. Mitchell. Motion carried.
Secretary to advise Willard R. Pool in answer to his
request for information on same.

Moved by J. Siegel, seconded by F. Clark that letter
from Santa Ana Board of Realtors be acknowledged and
advise that future legislation pertaining to zoning and
planning will be forwarded to them. Motion carried.
Moved by J. Siegel, seconded by M. Sheridan that clerk
acknowledge correspondence and Tentative map of Tract
No. 3798, stating that Tustin Planning Commission
has no objections to design and layout of tract as
submitted. Motion carried.
Motion made by J. Siegel, seconded by F. Clark that a
recommendation be made to the City Council that Mr.
McBride be authorized to proceed in consolidating the
sectional Tustin School District Map into one composite
map at the expenditure of a sum not to exceed $200.00.
Motion carried.
Moved by J. Siegel, seconded by M. Sheridan that meeting
be adjourned. Motion carried.
