Present: Bacon, Mitchell, Sheridan, Mueller, Smith, Morris City Engineer McBride, present City Attorney hourke, present ZONE HEARING RE PANNELL ANNEX. RECLASSIFIED TO C-2 Zone Hearing on Pannell Annexation property as per zone change application to reclassify to C-2 Zone, opened at 7:36 P.M. Mr. WR Pool Pool explained request for C-2 zoning and described location. OWNERS WHO PROTESTED Those present protesting the use of the property for a Drive-In Theater were: Mr. and Mrs. James Alexander Mr. Reg Wood, representing St. Cecetia's Church Mr. O~le, S~leline Homes, Inc. Mrs. Ada Phillips Mrs. A. G. Williams Mr. Kemp, realtor Speaking in favor: IN FAVOR OF CHANGE Mr. W. R. Pool, attorney Mr. Don Guttman, Pacific Drive-In Theater There being no further objections or dis- cussions, the hearing was declared closed at 8:10 P.M. Mr. Frank Morris arrived at 8:20 P.M. ZONE CHANGE DEN IED Moved by Mr. Smith, seconded by Mr. Morris that in light of recent develop- ments, the zone change be denied. Motion failed to carry by roll call - Ayes: Mitchell, Smith Noes: Mueller, Sheridan, Bacon Abstained: Morris. PANNELL ZONE CHANGE REFERHED TO CITY COUNDIL Moved by Mr. Sheridan, seconded by Mr. Mueller that zone change be recommended to the City Council for approval. Motion carried: Ayes: Mueller, Sheridan, Bacon. Noes: Smith, Mitchell Abstained: Morris. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF FEB. 19 & 26 Moved by Mr. Mitchell, seconded by Mr. Smith that minutes of February 19th and 26th meetings be approved as mailed and received. Motion carried. PLANNING COM. TO MEET TWICE A MONTH $7.50 PER MEET ING-$15 TOTAL FOR THE MONTH The Commission was notified that by action of the City Council the Commission will meet on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of every month. Compensation to be $7.50 per meeting, not to exceed 15.00 per month. NO OBJECTIONS TO UV4942 Moved by Mr. Sheridan, seconded by Mr. Mitchell that Secretary write the County Planning Commission stating 'no objections' to UV4942. Motion carried. CORRESPONDENCE Moved by Mr. Sheridan, seconded by Mr. Mitchell that FILED correspondence be received and filed. Motion carried. DISCUSSION ABOUT SECT. DIST. MAP 9-5-9 Mr. W. L. Carneham and Mr. C. N. Kempson both of Orangewood Lane asked the Planning Commission's feelings on Sectional District Map 9-5-9 Exhibits E, F, G, and H. Moved by Mr. Mueller, seconded by Mr. Sheridan that DISCUSSION ON discussion on Sectional District Map 9-5-9 be continued ABOVE CONT~INU_ until March 26th for further study and Mr. Smith as a ED UNTIL committee of one to further investigate and contact MARCH 26~ the Orange County Planning staff for their recommenda- tion. Motion carried. TO HIRE Moved by Mr. Smith, seconded by Mr. Sheridan that the PLAN. CONSULTAN~ City Council be requested to consider the possibility of hiring planning consultants. Motion carried.
