Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Bacon.

Mueller that the Minutes of March 12th
meeting be approved as mailed and re-
ceived. Motion carried.
Hearing on Casa Toro Homes U.P. 62-105
to permit a directional sign in C-3
Zone at Newport Avenue 8nd San Juan
Street opened at 7:35 P.M.
Mr. G. Tintle of Carter Sign Company
described size and location of sign.
There being no objections or further
comments, the hearing was declared
closed.
Moved by Mr. Mueller, seconded by Mr
Sheridan that U.P. 62-105 be approved
by Resolution No. 556 on condition
that sign be for a period of one year
and a $100.00 removal bond be posted.
Motion carried by roll call, all
members voting Aye.
Hearing on Variance Application 62-115
of Michael G. Segs1 to permit four
dwelling units on each 13,056 sq. ft.
lot opened at 7:40 P.M.
Mr. Sega] presented, and explained pre-
cise plans of development.
There b~ng no further comments or ob-
jections, the hearing was declared
closed.. A discussion of the application
followed and sn opinion from the City
Attorney as to the interpretation of
the ordinance that there was no hardship
as to the land topogrsphy proven.
Moved by Mr. Smith, seconded by Mr.
Morris, that Resolution No. 557 deny-
ing the variance application of Mr.
Segal be passed and adopted. Motion
carried by roll call, all members
voting Aye.
Moved by Mr. Sheridan, seconded by Mr.
Mitchell that secretary write the
County Planning Commission stating no
objections to UV 4729. Motion carried.

that Secretary write the County Planning Com-

Moved by Mr. Smith, seconded by Mr. Mueller that
Secretary write the County Planning Commission
stating no objections to UV 4952. Motion carried.

Moved by Mr. Smith, seconded by Mr. Sheridan that
a letter be sent to the County Board of Super-
visors that the Tustin Planning Commission has
gone on record as opposing UV Permit No. 4924
to construct a~.~o unit apartment development on
the south side of 17th Street and on the north
17 ST & VANDEHLIP side of Vanderlip Avenue and a copy of letter
of February 14th to the County Planning Commission
accompany correspondence. Motion carried.

E, F, G and H, opened. Mr. J. Olmstead of the
County Planning Department explained various ex-
hibits and zone requests.

BUSINESS THERE
Mr. Carneham stated that the residents of Orange-
wood and Lockwood would prefer business to two-
story apartment houses in this area.

it be recommended to the County Planning Com-
mission that Exhibit H of Sectional District
Man 9-5-9 be approved with the exception of the
N/k corner of Prospect Avenue and First Street
and this section be approved as 100-el-10,000
as set forth in Exhibit E of sai. d sectional
district map. Motion carried. Mr. Sm~.th ab-
stsined from voting.
A vote oF thanks was given Mr. Olmstead for
his able assistance in this matter.
