M. by Chair= man Bacon. Present: Bacon, Sheridan, Mitchell, Smith. absent: bo~ret, Morris, Mueller City Engineer Carlsen, present. City attorney llourke represented by ~. Batton. ~oved by ~"~r. Smith, seconded by l'ir. Mitchell that £~iinutes of February llth meeting be approved as mailed and received. Carried. UP 63-133 ~iearing on UP application No. 63-133, Tmstin Tustin Village Village, Inc. to permit a free-standing on-site advertising sign, opened at 7'43 P. M. Applica- tion and correspondence fro~ County Building and Safety and City Fire Chief read by Secretary. There being no objections or comments, hearing was declared closed at 7'45 P. M. RESOL. 625 hoved by Mr. Sheridan, seconded by Mr. l'ittchell that hesolution No. 625, approving UP 63-133 with the inclusion~ of recommendations of Department of Building and Safety as per letter and of City ~ngineer that sign be ~nstalled on the 5 foot easement and requiring a ~100.00 removal bond to be deposited with the City Clerk be passed and adopted. Carried by roll call. All present voting Aye. nearing on Zone Change Application No. 63-114, Mullaney to rezone certain property north of Walnut ~venue, running from ncFadden to hewport from "U" Zone to h-3 Zone opened at 7'48 P. application and correspondence from County Build- ing and Safety and City /ire ~epartment read. There being rio objections or comments, hearing was closed at 7'55 P. M. RESOL. 626 PASSED ADOPTED ~',oved by ~r. Smith, seconded by ~ir. ~itchell that hesolution No. 626, recommending approval of said zone change to the City Council be passed and adopted, noll Call-Ayes: Smith & ~itchell. noved by ~',r. Smith, seconded by Mr. Mitchell that above motion be withdrawn--carried. RESOL. 626 ZC 63-114 Moved by ~lr. Smi. th, seconded by I'lr. Sheridan that hesolution No. 626, recommending sbove zone change application 63-114 to the council for spp~oval subject to through access, from Newport to ~'ic£adden being restricted 785 feet South of ~'~cFadden except for' the purooses of a fire road- carried by roll call--all members present voting Aye. Precise plans for ¥illage Green Deveopment Company, formerly Eount Investment Company, submitted and recommendations from County Building and Jafety read. Plans were approved by Fire Chief and City ~ngineer. ~',oved by i~r. Smith, seconded by i"ir. Sheridan that precise plans as submitted be approved. Carried. l'~oved by l'~r. Omi th, seconded by ['ir. Sheridan that adoption of 1961 building code be recommended to the Council. Carried. ~'loved by l',r. omith, secor, ded by l~ir. I~',itchell that the City ~,ttorney be instructe5 to prepare an amendment to Zoning Ordi~'~ance to allow signs appurtenant to permitted uses in the C-l, C-2, C-3 and "i~'l" ~istricts, subject to compliance with the City ~ign Code and present said amend- ment to the Planning Commission for study and recommendations to the Council. Smith, seconded by Mr. Mitchell that secretary inform County Planning Commission that this Commission has no objections to Case 610, Sectional ~istrict i',a~ ItYS_10, Exhibit B and thank them for' their consideration. Carried. Koved by ~'~r. Smith, seconded by i~ir. Sheridan that the County Planning Commission be informed that this commission declines to take a stand on ~ase 602, oect. Dist. Eap Ii~S*ll, Exhibit M, but urges, that a study be made of entire block, bounded by Mitchell, ~ed Hill, Browning and Walnut ~venues and that alternate plans be made available.
