Meeting was called to order at 7:41 P.M. by Chairman B~con.
Present: Bacon, Sheridan, Morris, Gibbons, Hurd, Hefner
Absent: Mueller
City Attorney Rourke, present
City Engineer Carlsen, present
City Planner Remland, present
Moved by Sheridan, seconded by Hefner that minutes of
July 8th meeting be approved as mailed. Carried.
Following Minute Order of Tustin City Council read as
directed:
"Moved, seconded, and duly carried that all multiple
use zoning will be deferred to August 19th meeting
and the study committee requested to make recommenda-
tions and report on or before that date."
Heariag on UP 63-146 of C. M. Mullaney to permit develop-
ment of P.D. property at 1801 S. E. San Juan, opened at
7:45 P.M.
Mr. Remland explained location and zoning and use of
surrounding property and presented 16 recommended conditions.
Correspondence from County Planning read by clerk.
John Cochran spoke in behalf of applicant.
There being no protests of further comments, the Hearing
was declared closed at 8:02 P.M.
Moved by Hefner, seconded by Sheridan that plans for
UP 63-146 be referred to the Architectural Committee for
study and report at first meeting in August. Motion
carried. Ayes: Bacon, Sheridan, Hurd, Hefner.
Noes: Gibbons. Abstained: Morris.
Hearing on UP 63-148 of Mary Jo Hilf to permit a grooming
parlor for poodles at 125 W. Second Street, opened at
8:31 P.M.
Mr. Remland explained location and zoning and recommended
that if Use Permit is granted, there be a two year duration
set. Clerk read application justification.
Those present objecting to UP 63-148: Mr. Cook of Jacks Radio & TV
Mr. McCullough of Interior Decorators
Mr. Bill Matts spoke for the applicant.
There being no further comments or objections, the Hearing
was closed at 8:35 P.M.
Moved by Morris, seconded by Sheridan that applicant be
requested to submit a plot plan of building and showing
off-street parking and that hearing be continued to next
regular meeting of August 12th. Carried.
Hearing on UP 63-149 of Tustin Village Inc. to permit
construction of a planned development located north of
McFadden Street between Tustin Village Way and Williams
Street, opened at 8:40 P.M.

Mr. Remland explained location and zoning and use of
surrounding area and presented sixteen recommended
conditions.
Mr. Don Ayers spoke in behalf of UP 63-149.
There being no objections or further comment, the
Hearing was closed at ~:55 P.M.
Moved by Morris, that UP 63-149 be approved subject to
conditions as presented and with the added condition that
there be a minimum space of 15 feet between two story
buildings. Motion failed for lack of second.
Moved by Hurd, seconded by Gibbons tbmt Resolution
No. 663 be passed and adopted subject to the conditions
as presented and that there be minimum space of 15 feet
between tw3 story buildings and that note on planning
report regarding water flow be made an added condition.
Carried by roll call: Ayes: Bacon, Morris, Gibbons,
Hurd, Hefner. Noes: Sheridan.
Tentative Tract Map 5142 of Tustin Village Inc.
presented by Mr. Remland with 8 recommended conditions.
Moved by Morris, seconded by Hurd that Resolution
No. 664 be passed and adopted approving tentative
tract map 5142 subject to conditions as presented
and that all two story buildings be 15 feet apart.
Carried by roll call. Ayes: Bacon, Morris, Gibbons,
Hurd, Hefner. Noes: Sheridan.
Final Tract Map 5219 presented by Mr. Remland.
Moved by Morris, seconded by Hurd that Final Map of
Tract 5219 be recommended to the Council for approval.
Carried.
Moved by Gibbons, seconded by Morris that County Planning
Commission be advised that this commission objects to
Case No. 682 Sectional District Mas 4-5-9 Exhibit "Q"
and problem effects or strip zoning on this area and
reouest the County's projected plans for balance of
this property and property on South side of 17th Street.
Carried.
Moved by Sheridan, seconded by Hefner that the County
Planning Commission be advised that this commission
objects to OnY 5117 by reason of density being extremely
high and not, in best interest of Planning and that a
5 foot space between buildings is too narrow. Carried.
Moved by Sheridan, seconded by Morris that correspondence
be received and filed.
Moved by Sheridan, seconded by Hurd that meeting be
adjourned.
