Present: Bacon, Enderle, Ring, Miller. Absent: Marsters, Hefner, Lawrence. Also Present:' City Attorney Rourke, Public Works - Wheelock, Planning - Haworth. Moved by Miller, seconded by Enderle that Minutes of June 8th Meeting be approved as ma~.led. Carried. Hearing opened at 7:40 P.M. on UP64-172 of Stratln UP 64-172 Company to oermit the erection of an $' x 12' single STRATIN CO. faced directional sign on Southwesterly corner of McFadden and Newport. Location and recommended conditions presented by Mr. Haworth. 'I]nere being no objections or comments, the Hearing was closed at 7:41 P.M. Moved by Enderle, seconded by Hing that aesolution No. 726 be passed and adooted, approving UP64-172 subject to the 7 conditions as set forth by the Planning Advisor. Carried by roll call. Ayes: Bacon, Enderle, Ring, Miller. Noes: None. Absent: Hefner, Marsters, Lawrence. RESOL. 726 PASSED ADOPTED Hearing opened at 7:43 on UP64-173 of Stratln Company UP64-173 to perm%t the erection of an 8' x 12' single-faced STRATIN CO. directional slgu on Southerly side of Newport between Mitchell Avenue and Santa Ana Freeway. Location and recommended conditions explained by Mr. Haworth. There being no obJeclons or comments, the Hearing was declared closed at 7:44 P.M. Moved by ~nderle, seconded by aing that Resolution NO. RESOL. 727, approving UP64-173 subject to seven recommended 727 conditions be passed an~ adopted. Carried by roll call PASSED Ayes: Bacon, hnderle, Ring, Miller. Noes:. Noue. Absent: ADOPTED Hefner, Lawrence, Marst~rs. Hearing opened at 7:45 P.M. on UP64-174 of Stratln Company UP64-17i to permit the erection of an 8' x 12' single-faced directional sign on Southeast corner of Pasadena and McFadden. Location and recommended conditions exolained by Mr. Haworth. There being no objections or comments, the Hearing was closed at 7:46 P.M. Moved by hnderle, seconded by Ring that i~esolution ~o. 728 RESOL aporoving UP64-174 with 7 recommended couditio~s be passed 728 and adopted. Ayes: Bacon, Enderle, ning, Miller. Noes: PASSED None. Absent: Hefner, Marsters, Lawrence. ADOPTED UP64- Extension of "B" Street thru to Fourth Street explained 174 by Mr. ~heelock. Moved by Miller, seconded by king that City Clerk advertise for Hearin5 on precise olan for "B" Street for first Planning Commission meeting in July. Carried. County correspondence re CPlll7 read by clerk and explained by Haworth with recommendation for approval. Mr. Blake representing Villa de Santiago Co. developer fop CPlll7 explained plans. CPlll7 Moved by Miller, that County be advised theft this Commission has no com?.ent on CPlll7. Motion died for la~k of second. Moved by ~nderle, seconded by ning that County be advised that this Commission recommends CPlll7 for approval. Carri ed. County correspondence regarding CPll5 read. Mr. Haworth explained application and recommended approval. Moved by Miller, seconded by Enderle that County be advised th'~t this Commission has no objections to CPlll5 Carried. V. 5366 5379 County correspondence regarding Vari.~nce 5366 and 5379 read and explained by Mr. haworth with recommendations that both theCounty and City establish a 10' setback in Pr zone on Fourth Street. Moved by Miller, that County be advised th'~t this Commission has no comments regarding V5366 and 5379. Died fo~'~ tack of second. Moved by Ring, seconded by Enderle th.,t County be advised that this Commission has no objections to V5366 and 5379 and request th~at the County take steps to e~t ~blish a 10' setback on portionsof Fourth Street in county and the city will do the same. Carried. Moved by Ring, seconded by Enderle that City Clerk set HeaPing for 10' setback in.lieu of existing 20' setback in Pr zone on Fourth Street for first meeting in July. Carried. County correspondence reg~rding UV5367 read. Mr. Haworth explained application and recommended denial. Moved by Miller, seconded by Enderle thut County be advised theft this Commission requests denial of UV5367 as this is within the Tustln Plan area and substandard to Tustin zone ordinance. Carried. Mr. Wheelock explained reclassification of Newport Avenue below Sycamore to the railroad as set forth in Amendment No. 68: Master Plan of Arterial Highways and stated it was in accord wi th ~ity plans. Moved by Ring, seconded by Miller that County of Orange be notified that this Commission concurs with amendments to Arterial Highway Master Plan as submitted and recommends approval. Carried. County correspondence re UV5378 read- Mr. Haworth explained and recommended that Commission has no ob,lections. Moved by Miller, seconded by Enderle that ~ounty be notified that this Commission has no objections to UV5378. Carried Planning Advisior requested to check existing sign on Southwesterly corner of McFadden and Newoort and report at next meeting.
