HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC RES 35031 RESOLUTION NO. 3503 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 2O 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPT A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR CODE AMENDMENT 96-3 (ORDINANCE NO. 1173) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TUSTIN CITY CODE SECTION' 9272. DESIGN REVIEW The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin does hereby resolve as follows: I. The Planning Commission finds and determines as follows: Ao Code Amendment 96-3 an ordinance amending Tustin City Code Section 9272 Design Review is "a project" pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). m o A Negative Declaration has been prepared for this project and has been distributed for public review. C . Whereas, the Planning Commission of the City of' Tustin has considered evidence presented by the Community Development Director and other interested parties with respect to the subject Negative Declaration. m o The Planning Commission has evaluated the proposed Negative Declaration and determined that the project is regulatory in nature and therefore, would not have a significant effect on the environment. When individual applications are submitted for consideration, independent environmental review will occur. II. A Negative Declaration has been completed in compliance with CEQA and state guidelines. The Planning Commission has received and considered the information contained in the Negative Declaration prior to recommending approval of the proposed project, and found that it adequately discussed the environmental effects of the proposed project. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Tustin Planning Commission, held on the 25th day of November, 1996.
