A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA ESTABLISHING APPLICATION AND
APPEAL FEES FOR THE PERMITS IDENTIFIED IN ARTICLE
3 OF THE TUSTIN CITY CODE.
The City Council of the City of Tustin does hereby resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, on May 20, 2002, the City Council introduced and had first reading of
Ordinance No. 1252, amending Article 3 of the Tustin City Code and repealing Part 3 of
Chapter 5 of Article 1 of the Tustin City Code; and
WHEREAS, the amendment to Article 3 of the Tustin City Code establishes
regulations for businesses that are recognized as having characteristics which may pose
particular threats to the public health, safety, and welfare; and
WHEREAS, the proposed amendment is reasonably necessary to protect the health,
safety, and welfare of the citizens of the City of Tustin; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1252 indicates that the application fee for the permits
identified in Article 3 of the Tustin City Code shall be as provided by resolution of the City
Council to cover the cost of processing and investigation; and
WHEREAS, the processing of permit applications or appeals results in the City
incurring staff costs; and
WHEREAS, the proposed fees would not exceed the reasonable cost of processing
the permit applications or appeals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Tustin
hereby establishes application and appeal fees for the permits identified in Article 3 of the
Tustin City Code, as identified in Exhibit A attached hereto. The fees shall become
effective 30 days following the adoption of Ordinance No. 1252.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Tustin, at a regular meeting on
the 3rd day of June, 2002.
