HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC RES 340510 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 3405 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 95-001, A REQUEST TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION FROM "MILITARY." TO "INDUSTRIAL" ON A 2.6 ACRE PARCEL ON THE PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH OF WARNER AVENUE BETWEEN JAMBOREE ROAD AND THE PETERS CANYON WASH. The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin does hereby resolve as follows: I. The Planning Commission finds and determines as follows: no That a proper application for General Plan Amendment 95-001 was submitted to the Planning Commission by The Dahn Corporation, for consideration. B o That a public hearing was duly noticed, called and held on said application by the Planning Commission on November 13, 1995 and continued to November 27, 1995. ..- C . That the project will not have a significant effect on the environment as conditioned, and a Negative Declaration has been prepared pursuant to the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) . D o That the proposed General Plan Amendment change from Military to Industrial is consistent with the Tustin Zoning Code which designates this property Industrial which would accommodate a broad range of industrial/commercial uses including self-storage. E o That the proposed General Plan Amendment to Industrial is in the best interest of the public health, safety and welfare of the surrounding area in that the proposed designation of Industrial is compatible with industrial, commercial, and military uses surrounding the property. II. The Planning Commission hereby recommends to the City Council approval of General Plan Amendment 95-001 changing the Land Use Designation of the property located north of Warner Avenue between Jamboree Road and Peters Canyon Wash from Military to Industrial as shown on Exhibit A, attached hereto. 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 Resolution No. 3405 Page 2 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Tustin at a regular meeting held on the 27th day of November, 1995.
