AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTtN, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN RELATIVE TO
DEVELOPMENT PREVIEW COMMISSION.
Zl- The City Council of the City of Tustin, California, does hereby
5 ordain as follows:
6 Section 5.240 of The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Tustzn is
7 hereby amended to read as follows:
8 Section 5.240 Appointment of Development Preview Commission
9 a. Number of Members
!0 The City Council shall appoint a Development Preview Commission
which shall consist of five (5) regular and nwo (2) alternate
!! members. The alternate members shall be designated as first
alternate and second (2nd) alternate.
b. Terms

Commission members shall be appointed for (2) two-year, staggered
!~ terms. Of' the first appointed, two (2) members shall be appozn~ed
for a one (1) year term and three (3) members shall be appcin.~ed
15 for a two (2) year term. Thereafter each member shall be amDoinzed
~.. for a two (2) year~term. Alternate members shall be appointed for
16 2-year staggered terms: Of the first appointed~ the Firs~
alternate member shall be appointed for a one (i) year ten,
i~ Second alternate member shall be appointed for a two (2) year
term. Compensation shall be set from time no time as determined
18 by the Council.
19 c. Qualifications
Regular members, insofar as available, shall be selected from
least three (3) of the following groups:
1. Licensed Architects.
~ 2. Registered Landscape Architects'
3. Registered Civil Engmneer.
2~ 4. Persons associated with the Real Estate
or Building Industries having had demon-
24 strated experience in the visual arts.
5. An~ other group, the selectee from which the
~5 City Council at its discretion determines

26 the state goals of the Developmen.t Preview Commmssion.
2{ The City Council shall invite the Tustin Chamber of Commerce to
submit four (4) names from any combination of the above groups,
~ 28 which the Council shall consider.
', 29 One alternate member shall be a licensed architect and one
alternate member shall be represent. ative with demonsErased
~0 knowledge and .experience in visual ares and design amen!ties~
representative of the cornre. unity at large.

A Chairsnan'~and Vice Chairman shall be selecteG by the membershzS
5 annually during the f~rs{ meeting in the month of February.
6 f. Conduct of Meetings
~ The time 'and oiac6 of Commission Meetings shall be regularly
established, bP' the Comra~issmon with the approval of' the City
8 Council.
