A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF ZONE CHANGE
89-01, A REQUEST TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED
SOUTHEASTERLY OF FUTURE JAMBOREE ROAD ADJACENT
TO PETERS CANYON WASH FROM P&I (PUBLIC AND
INSTITUTIONAL) TO M (INDUSTRIAL)
The Planning Commission of the City of Tustin does hereby resolve
as follows:
I. The Planning Commission finds and determines as follows:

That a proper application has been filed on behalf of the
Irvine Industrial Company for the purpose of rezoning a
2.6 acre parcel southeasterly of future Jamboree Road
adjacent to Peters Canyon Wash from P&I (Public and
Institutional) to M (Industrial) and described as
Assessor's Parcel No. 434-061-014.

That a public hearing before the Planning Commission to
consider Zone Change 89-01 was duly called, noticed and
held on November 13, 1989.

This Zone Change has been reviewed in accordance with the
.California Environmental Quality Act. It has been
determined that this project will not have a significant
effect on the environment and a Negative Decia~ation has
been prepared.

The pro~bsed'zoning is consistent with the General Plan,
particularly the Land Use Element and General Plan
Amendment 89-03, in that the proposed zoning would allow
compatible uses and orderly development in the area.
Ze
The proposed zoning is in the best interest of the public
health, safety and welfare and would be compatible with
the existing adjacent military operations, future
development in the City of Irvine and future extension
of Jamboree Road.

II. The Planning Commission hereby recommends approval to the City
Council of Zone Change 89-01 as shown on Exhibit A, amending
the City of Tustin Zoning Map to rezone property located
southeasterly of future Jamboree Road adjacent to Peters
Canyon Wash from P&I (Public and Institutional) to M
(Industrial).
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Tustin Planning
Commission, held on the 13th day of November, 1989.
