PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
March 20, 1950.
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman,
Arthur Charleton.
Present were Mayor Kidd, Charleton, Neff, Means,
Fricker, Farnsworth, Forney, Cox, Humeston and Attorney
Nisson.
Requests from public hearings for changes or ad-
ditions, were taken up in order as follows:
1. (a) By Mrs. Mabel Prescott to change lots 11
and 12, Block A, to C-1, and later to M-l.
(b) By Mrs. J. F. Pieper to change Lots 7 and
8, Block A, to C-l. Iv4oved by Means, seconded by Fricker,
carried unanimously, to change East half of Block A to
r„~ C -1.

~. 2. Request by A. C. Hutcheson and William Miller,
of Tustin Lumber Co., and Tustin Manufacturing Co., re-
~ spectively, that the area from "C" Street, North side of
First, East to, including Tustin Lumber Co. property be
changed to M-1.
Moved by Means, seconded by Fricker, carried, that
above, including entire property of Tustin Lumber Co.,
be included in C-1, with recommendation that the Tustin
Lumber Co. and Tustin Manufacturing Co. and property oc-
cupied by Console & Sisson be granted sufficient Variance
to cover present businesses.
3. Request of A. L. Schellhaus that lots 1, 2 and 3
in Block 1}6, North of present site of Utt Juice Co. be
changed to M-l.
Moved by Cox, seconded by Forney, carried, that re-
quest be granted.
4. Request by Harold Finley to extend Zone C-1 to
include his property approzimately 135 feet back from
frontage on First St., in Lot 12 of Tomas Yorba Tract.
Moved by Farnsworth, seconded by Cox, carried,
that the Commission grant bor. Finley~s request.
5. Request by Mr. Julius P. Hatzfeld that Lot B,
Sam Tustin Tract, all be classified as R-l. Moved by Means,
seconded by Farnsworth, carried unanimously, that NIr.
Hatzfeld~s request be granted.
Moved by Thermon Means, seconded ny Forney, car-
ried unanimously, as Resolution No. 2, that the Commis-
sion adopt Building Line Set Back Map and ],and IIse Map
as now constituted, the latter now to be called the Per-
manent Land Use Map.
Attorney Nisson read to the Commission a findings
report for the Planning Commission to be submitted to the
City Council. Moved by Fricker, seconded by Farnsworth,
carried unanimously, that the report be adopted.
Resolution No. 3.

Moved by Farnsworth, seconded by Fricker, that
Findings Report and Summary or Hearings and Requests with
action thereon by Commission be submitted to the City
Council.
The next meeting of the Commission, set for
April 21, was brought to the attention of~ members.
