SUBJECT: SET INTERVIEW DATE FOR COMMISSION SEATS: PLANNING
COMMISSION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION
SUMMARY:
Due to term expirations, staff is requesting that the City Council set a date and time to
conduct interviews to fill vacancies on the Planning Commission and Community
Services Commission.
RECOMMENDATION:
Pleasure of the City Council

BACKGROUND:
The terms of the following commissioners will expire on March 1, 2012:
Planning Commissioners
Charles "Chuck" Puckett
Jeff Thompson
Community Services Commissioners
Ken Henderson
Amy Nakamoto
As a result of the passage of Ordinance No. 1331, effective April 6, 2007, all
commissioners serve at the pleasure of the City Council and are eligible to serve
multiple terms.
As usual, we will publish a notice in the Tustin News, and post notices on the City's
website and City's posting boards. The notice will include qualifications, duties, and
meeting dates.
Applications received for positions will be distributed with the Agenda Packet at the time
interviews are held. Staff suggests that interviews and selection of commissioners be
scheduled for Tuesday, February 21, 2012 as a Regular Business item.
