HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC RES 2071RESOLUTION NO. 2071 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING AGENCY OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, AUTHORIZING THE USE OF UNITS 2, 3, & 4 OF 220 EL CAMINO REAL FOR GENERAL OFFICE AND NIGHT-TIME INSTRUCTIONAL CLASS ACTIVITIES 4 The Planning Agency of the City of Tustin does hereby resolve as follows' 5 I. The Planning Agency finds and determines as follows' 6 A. That a proper application, (Use Permit 82-33), has 7 been filed on behalf of World Plan Executive Council (WPEC) Transcendental Meditation Program to operate a professiQnal office use with night instructional classes 8 at 220 E1 Camino Real. 9 B. That a public hearing was duly called, noticed and 10 held on said application. 11 C. That establishment, maintenance and operation of the use applied for will not, under the circumstances of this case, be detrimental to the health, safety, morals, 12 comfort or general welfare of the persons residing or 13 working in the neighborhood of such proposed use, evidenced by the fol 1 owing fi ndi ngs' 14 1. The proposed use is in conformance with the C-2 15 District provisions of the City Zoning Code. 16 D. That the establishment, maintenance and operation of the use applied for will not be injurious or detrimental 17 to the property and improvements in the neighborhood of the subject project, nor to the general welfare of the 18 city of Tustin, and should be granted. 19 E. Proposed development shall be in accordance with the development policies adopted by the City Council; 20 Uniform Building Codes as administered by the Building Official; Fire Code as administered by the Orange County 21 Fire Marshal; and street improvement requirements as administered by the City Engineer. 24 27 F. This project is categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act. G. Final development plans shall require the review and approval of the Community Development Director. 1 Resolution No. 2~, December 20, 1982 Page 2 28 3 II. The Planning Agency hereby approves Conditional Use Permit No. 82-33, to authorize the operation of a general 4 office and night-time class facility as applied for subject to the following conditions: 5 A. The applicant shall acquire permission to use 35 6 parking spaces between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. for a three-year period on the adjoining parking 7 lot from the property owner, Sunset Properi~ies. The application shall submit plans of the existing floor plan of the whole building and the subject three 11 units with the proposed alterations for review in compliance with the requirements of the prevailing 12 technical codes, City ordinances, State code and regulations, etc., of the proposed new occupancy or use. 13 D. Any meeting room exceeding 750 square feet must 14 satisfy special State Fire Marshall requirements. 15 E.
