A RESOLUTON OF THE PLANNING AGENCY OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN, APPROVIING THE AMENDED USE
PERMIT (80-15) TO AUTHORIZE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND OPERATION OF FOURTEEN ADDITIONAL MOTEL
UNITS AT 750 EL CAMINO REAL (150 SOUTH LAGUNA
ROAD).

UNITS AT 750 EL CAMINO REAL (150 SOUTH LAGUNA
The Planning Agency of the City of Tustin does hereby resolve as
follows:

The Planning Agency finds and determines as follows:
A. That a proper application amending Use Permit 80-15 has
been filed by Bharat Gala cn behalf of Tustin Motor Lodge,
to construct and operate fourteen (14) additional motel
units at 750 E1 Camino Real (formerly
150 South Laguna Road).
B. That a public hearing was duly called, noticed and ~eld on
said application.
C. That establishment, maintenance, an~ operation of the use
applied for will not, under the circumstances of-this case,
be detrimental to tt~ health, safety, ~rals, conlfort, or
general welfare of the persons residing or w~rKing in the
neighborhood of such proposed use, evidenced by the
following findings:
1. That said development is in conformance with the
Tustin Area General Plan and requirements of the
Commercial (C-2) Zoning District.
D. That the establishment, maintenance, an~ operation of the
use applied for will not be injurious or detrimental to t~e
property and improven~nts in the neighDorh~ of the
subject property, nor to the general welfare of the City of
Tustin, and should be granted.
E. Proposed development shall be in accordance with the
development policies adopted by the City Council, Uniform
Building Codes as administered by the Buil(]ing Official,
Fire Code as administered by Orange County Fire Marshal,
and street improvement requirements as administered by the
City Engineer.
F. That the project is categorically exempt frcm the
requirements of the California Environmental Quality ~ct.
G. Final development plans shall require the review and
approval of the ~ity Develo~xaent Department.
II.
The Planning Agency hereby adopts amended Conditional Use
Permit 80-15, to authorize the construction an~ operation of
fourteen additional motel units at Tustin Motor Lodge, sub3ect
to the following conditions:
A. Final development plans shall De developed by a DuilCing
designer in order that they are harmonious with the highest
standard of improvement in the surrounding area and in
keeping with the revitalization of the E1 Camino Real area
as outlined in Ordinance No. 510.

B. The final site plan shall De stan~araize~ an~ reflect all
appropriate city standard drawing numbers. The developer
shall oonstruct all missing or damaged street improvements
to said development per the City of Tustin "Minimum Design
Standards of Public Wor~s" and "Street Improvement
Standards". This wore shall consist of, but is not limited
to: curbs and gutters, sidewalks, drive apron, and street
pavement.
C. Prior to the Certificate of Occupancy, all remaining above
ground utility lines serving the property shall be
undergrounded.
D. All public improvements to be constructed in conjunction
with this development shall be completed prior to the
issuance of any Certificate of Occupancy.
E. Prior to building permit issuance, a landscape improvement
plan shall be sutmitted and approved by the Con, unity
Development Department.
F. No new kitchen facilities shall be installed in the motel
complex.
G. Exterior building materials and colors shall be Sutmitted
to Community Development for review and approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular ~ting of the Tustin Planning
Agency, held on 2nd day of February, 1981.
